I just purchased the Hearts 3D Premium and did not have very high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised and found this game of hearts to play flawlessly. I play a lot of hearts card games (I should add that I only play against AI opponents) and this was top notch as far as I am concerned. I love the sound when the Queen of Spades is played or when an opponent is frustrated, I am really happy that you do not have to play with teams, I like that the scoreboard is very easy to read, there are a lot of different customization options and I especially like the "white dot" that is displayed in front of each player when it is their turn to put down a card. There are only two things that would be really great for the game. The first and most important would be to show the players scores as the round is being played, because if someone gets all of the points in a round then all of the other players are supposed to get penalized and without the ongoing score as you are playing it is difficult to know if a player is close to getting all of the points in that round. The second and really minor addition would be if you could change the names of the AI players. Kudos to the developers …
I never played Hearts before so I cannot compare this to other games, but I love this game. The UI is crisp and clean and the game play is simple. The AI is okay. It does well enough that you better keep track of the suits—It can destroy a shot at the moon and leave you speechless. I think this AI gets better as I do! Does it?
