About HELLBOUND
HELLBOUND is a fast-paced, chaotic 2D action fighter set in hell. Slash, dodge, and chain combos through a looping arena where enemies and attacks wrap around edges. Hundreds of demons flood the arena at once, explosions rock the battlefield, and frantic dodges keep you constantly on edge. Use the loop to amplify damage, rack up style points, and outmaneuver waves of relentless enemies, but beware, the demons are just as cunning, using the loop to corner, flank, and overwhelm you.
Face three main enemy types, melee Chargers, flying Sky Candles, and Taunting Eyes, each with dangerous variants. Master the loop and your weapons to survive their onslaught and prepare for the ultimate challenge, Lilith the First Exile, a spell-casting boss who will test your reflexes, timing, and strategy.Once you beat the main game, unlock the Tenth Layer of Hell, a punishing mode where random destructive events occur continuously, forcing you to adapt while battling enemies. Every run is chaotic, unpredictable, and endlessly intense.A mysterious figure guides you through the inferno, helping you navigate the chaos and ascend to angelhood. The game is all about fast, Ultrakill-inspired combat, frantic dodging, and explosive chaos that rewards skill, precision, and daring play. The original soundtrack and sound effects immerse you in the intense hellish atmosphere and drive every battle with energy and urgency.HELLBOUND is for players who thrive on speed, skill, and relentless action. Only the sharpest reflexes survive. Will you rise and face the inferno?

🔸 Full Review HELLBOUND is an unapologetic throwback to arena shooters of the ’90s, but it brings enough polish and attitude to stand confidently on its own. The focus is on intense, unrestrained combat that rewards aggression, map control, and rapid reactions rather than tactical cover play or slow build-ups. Combat is fast and expressive. Enemies are varied and aggressive, forcing players to constantly reposition, manage ammo, and prioritize threats effectively. Weapons feel punchy and satisfying, each with its own identity and rhythm. Mastery comes less from character progression and more from understanding enemy patterns and movement flow. What makes HELLBOUND stand out as an indie FPS is how it balances nostalgia with modern design sensibilities. While it fully embraces retro energy, it avoids the clunkiness that often comes with pure imitation. The result is a game that feels familiar to classic shooter fans while still being approachable for players new to the style. The presentation reinforces this philosophy. Gritty visuals, heavy audio, and a throbbing soundtrack create a sense of chaos and urgency without overwhelming readability. Enemy telegraphs are clear, levels …3 found this helpful
