Hello Goodboy is a heartwarming, wholesome adventure featuring Iko, a boy new to the afterlife. With no memory of what brought him to the world beyond, he must rely on Coco, a strangely familiar dog who will help him solve the mysteries of this new existence.
Journey through unknown, yet familiar places, meeting fellow souls on their own adventures through the afterlife. Pay it forward with generous favors for them and try to figure out just why Iko landed in the land beyond to begin with. However, mind the time: there's only so much of it!

I’m leaving a positive review because you can tell this game was made with love, and the art is genuinely beautiful. But honestly, I spent most of it feeling lost .. there were touching moments, yet the story never felt clear, and the writing didn’t really help me connect with what it was trying to say, so in the end it just wasn’t that satisfying to play.3 found this helpful
The game mechanics are clunky and the story is choppy and confusing even with the "true" ending and multiple replays. It would be nice if you could skip scenes and dialogue on second and third rounds.1 found this helpful
I got this game for cheap by getting it off a mystery key on a key shop. I had no idea what is was about, but as an achievement hunter I decided to play it. What caught me off guard was how amazing the story is, as someone who lost their brother and occasionally suffers from anxiety, I found this games story extremely comforting and brilliantly told. The characters were very well written, and even though it is a short game I feel that it has really touched me. Great job to the developers!
I haven't spent 7 hours on it, I accidentally left it idling... I barely got through the first door - I was bored. The concept is great but there is just so much dialogue and the way it writes in second person was annoying. I'll probably try it again and complete it but my first 10 minutes was just pressing the space bar. I'm sure the storyline is wonderful as all the other reviews state, but it just didn't feel like a game to me. I'm not sure if the content is appropriate but I'm sure kids would love it.
You can pet the dog 10/10 Warning - you may cry, and that's ok.
A cozy adventure with a gorgeous art style and a narrative that can occasionally edge into saccherine territory, but at most times is a sweet story that is aimed at a slightly younger (or young-at-heart) audience. Walk, explore, chat to people, solve some puzzles, hug the dog. A nice time.
