Yes, Heroes Wanted is worth 99 pennies. The game is quite simple, yet offers a generous amount of strategy. The runs can be a bit on the long side of 90-120 minutes, unless you are just mindlessly placing heroes. I haven't found the three classes to be differentiating enough to matter much. Lots of unit and relic unlocks and the progression is reasonable. It is definitely fun.3 found this helpful
Bit of a hidden gem though it does have flaws. It's a very good deck builder. Heavily relying on the 3 element countering system - your attacks are half power against counter element and double power against the one you counter. It's too bad the different "decks" are not different, the maps tend to get repetitive, and the balance is off in some places.. but it still works well. It's a nice challenge to balance all of your resources and options to make the optimal turn, and the artifacts/upgrade systems are traditional so they accomplish what they came for.
Awesome game! Great artwork and graphics. Took me 25 hours to beat main boss with all 3 characters. Only negative is that now that I have beat it, it just doesn't have enough for me to continue playing, but it was well worth the money. I'll just put it away for a bit and I'm sure I'll come back to it.
Fantastic game, got it on a huge discount, very worth.
