Great, just like the demo version of the game! The card-based gameplay might be a bit confusing at first, especially for non card-based players like me, but once you get the hang of it, playing a few matches actually is fun. The game is still in early access, so I'm expecting more engaging items, characters and abilities down the road, especially gameplay-related changes as it becomes stale over time. Hopefully PvE or a campaign mode will fix that. Artadis is blooming, and its brightest days are yet to come.4 found this helpful
A team based PvP game, where you setup your team and attempt to beat your opponent with cards that are linked to your characters. You win by defeating the opponent general, which you attempt to protect with your own three characters as you attempt to knock the opposing general down. +Solid voice actor on the intro +Decent SFXs +Player choice plays a role -Slow pace in the gameplay - actions and movement of characters seems laggy. There's this weird delay in everywhere. It doesn't FEEL good. It doesn't feel responsive. -Cards, deck(s) and characters. The cards are linked to your characters, but you don't see them in-game. How many cards do each character have? Are the cards all mixed up? Are there multiple copies? You really don't know what you can "draw" from which character. Tutorial doesn't cover this at all. -UX/UI is really bad when you get out of the tutorial. Just opening the characters / deck builder made me uninstall the game. I saw the list of cards, but it wasn't clearly indicated which card is related to which character so this did not help to answer my questions from the tutorial at all, but instead made me facepalm again. -Amateurish feel in hooking in the player …
I absoluuuuutely loved this game. I can't wait for rating to be added so bots don't get in the way. And OH MY GOD, PALATIAL GROTTO IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! ITS INITIATIVE! ITS PASSIVE! ITS APPEARANCE! ITS DAMAGE! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LITTLE BALL OF HAPPINESS THAT FILLS MY FRAGING, PERISHABLE LIFE WITH JOY AND REMOVES THE PIECES OF CALLA I SEE IN IT. And otherwise, it's a cool game. I like that each character has their own passive and stats. There's a huge number of these characters, and an equally huge number of spells. Oh my god, the resurrection card is so beautiful. Especially beautiful when I resurrect the Palatial Grotto with it.
