Holy Justice: Galaxy Outcast

The Grind is real and content is lacking. It's a little cool game but overpriced as it is. If you want to have a random shoot em up for some hours with a discount, it's positive. But for the whole game and price, I give it negative review as maybe some of the problems can be solved. I finished the game with all 3 ships, finished the game about 4 times. A run takes about 2. hours. The meta progress points you get per full run is 7 and first nod at the tree needs 6 and the numbers get high fast. With a simple math, you need to play the game 100+ hours to get full tree. Even the game is fun, the ship amount and the lack of any weapons like extra missiles or different main weapon options, after you beat the game with all ships and a bit more, lets say 10 times (about 25 hours game play), you already see everything, multiple times. Compared to this, having a meta progress so slow is a bad design choice. I don't think anybody will play that long to see even half of the meta progress. Another problem is, meta progress is just only numberic buffs as the game gets harder you finish it I guess. So, you just use it for a bit to balance the difficulty. Do you guys not have intergalactic phones? A bullet hell that kind of feels like it was meant to be on a cell phone. I don't play a lot of these type of games but I was surprised with how the controls on keyboard and mouse worked. The movement was just clicking the ship and dragging it around the screen which gave me crazy good movement but felt a bit weird. The gameplay was a bit lacking as you just go from planet to planet completing the same object of killing enemies and dodging bullets. If you are a die hard fan of this genre there are probably other games that you would rather check out and if you are new to the genre I don't think this would be the go to choice. Also for what the game is I think the price tag is a bit much. I recommend this if you like to dodge and shoot bullet hell.

Great bullet hell feel with smooth controls and fair challenge. Each boss has clear patterns and fights feel skill based. Core enhancers make every run different and fun to experiment. Unlocking ships and builds keeps me coming back. Looks and sounds amazing. Recommended 👍

This really reminds me of those good old arcade games like Space Invaders or even Chicken Invaders. I love the pixelated art style, the character portraits look great, font fits the vibe really well, for the gameplay it's kinda hard for me to beat. I did notice a couple things that could be improved, like overall movement could be more responsive and I really wish I could skip full dialog just by clicking. Still, overall I like the flow and how everything goes. Definitely worth trying.

Solid shoot em up bullet hell with great upgrades, especially when you understand the combos. Beautiful visual effects!
