About Homeseek

Overpopulation, environmental exploitation, and a complete disregard for nature has resulted in the depletion of drinkable water, leading to the collapse of civilization as we know it. It’s up to you to lead a group of survivors to a place where they can rebuild, but it won’t be easy.

Remake the earth in 2 Campaigns spanning over 9 scenarios, each of which can be played in Story Mode, Endless Mode, and Survival Mode. Online Multiplayer lets you compete against other players to see who the ultimate survivor will be.

Expand your settlement

Your survivors will need food, shelter, and other necessities, but expand carefully lest you outpace each area’s scarce and diminishing resources.

Educate your survivors

Improve your settlers’ knowledge and machinery in order to make the most of what little resources are available. Research carefully, choosing the most important advancements to chase for your settlers’ needs, and take that knowledge with you.

Extend your colony

Progress by uncovering meaningful stories through expeditions, events, and quests. You’ll be faced with difficult dilemmas and dangerous foes, but what you bring back could mean life or death for your settlement. Each in-game choice brings with it consequences that can make or break the success of your settlers in their quest for survival.

Execute your foes

A world clinging on to its last vestiges of life can only support so many living beings. Compete against other players in a survival scenario where you do what you have to succeed in the world of Homeseek. Sabotage their buildings, steal their resources, and force them into starvation before they do the same to you.

I love Frostpunk 1, I love post-apocalyptic games - then I should like this, right? Well, almost Playing the first mission on "Normal" difficulty and following the steps the quests guide me to, I noticed two things immediately: - The UX is pretty poor, with buildings showing information that is both relevant (pipe connectors for example) and apparently entirely irrelevant (building entrances). No guidance of what to look out for here. The whole functionality is a carbon copy of Frostpunk gameplay and agent behavior, a game in which I achieved some of those achievements <1% of players have, yet in this game I misunderstood or entirely missed concepts, which is both surprising and also frustrating - The game's tutorialization is very poor. Everything is contaminated, everyone gets sick. Ok cool. I follow each given goal step by step and as a reward people die. How nice. Maybe tell players to build the research center , which needs 2 days to research the medical center, BEFORE people are on the verge of dying. Maybe introduce them to mechanics step by step instead of pouring a bucket filled with problems over their head right away. Good: Concept is not bad, cool UI, good 3d style t…

Recommend, don't recommend, not really sure what to say. I really like the premise of the game and enjoyed my time with it, but I always thought, if I get a game over screen, that's it, I'm not trying again. I made it to chapter 4 on normal difficulty, before what seemed like the inevitable happened, everyone abandoned the settlement and I lost. Looking at the achievement completion rates, I wasn't alone. I know the developers were going for a brutal difficult survival experience, and for the most part, this did work, I always scraped through in the end, some new people would join, it would rain, or we'd discover the thing required to complete the chapter. But no, chapter 4, no food, no water, no-one to send on an expedition. I had people, but they were depressed and wouldn't work, so .. death spiral and failure. However, I do like it, and I think there's an appeal for people who will enjoy this style of game, but it's certainly not for everyone. Shame, i wanted to finish if possible, but otherwise, get as far as I could. So, that's chapter 4 for me, thanks, so long, had fun, but bye for now.

3.5/10 - "The Fallout-Punk game you always wanted. But its horrible." Its Frost Punk, but legally distinct Fallout 1. Sounds great right? The mechanics of the game is as poor as Fallout 4's writing and adherence to lore. I do not think I have ever seen a worse first level in a video game, ever. I do not see how a human being could complete this without being extremely lucky, on a first attempt. The first level requires rather precise meta-knowledge of the level. The first level is comparable to frost punk on extreme difficulty. The first level requires a player to totally disregard all UI prompts, and follow a breakneck pursuit of scouting and research. I have described the game as 'Autistic Lizard person Plumber simlator.' Your main enemy are pipes. Why are we given different choices of pipes if seemingly any choice but plastic is death? Why does it appear 30% of game time is connecting pipes? If plumbing is *the point of the game* why is it not streamlined and smooth as butter. Further, why does it appear to be so random. I have vaguely worded pop ups about efficiency, ok why? My food or water swings like Tarzan from -500 to +1000 on a second by second basis. Why? Atta…

Up front this is a challenging game. It trains you through the basics and then steadily ramps up the difficulty. I enjoyed the progression and planning out of settlements to get through each map. The story line was also interesting if rather gloomy! I'm unsure why some negative reviewers think there's only one method for each map as that's definitely not true. I did find some bugs all linked to loading in games - expanded storage lost their extra contents over 4.5k or 6k on loading and universal extra law slots would disappear on one map on loading. Overall I'd definitely recommend for anyone wanting a challenging and tactical settlement survival game.
