Enjoying the game so far, although I do get slightly lost in the navigation sometimes and have to do a bit of micromanaging that's preventing my inner hoarder from grabbing each and every item that floats by. That being the case, I got to 2 thousand wood from catching all the driftwood... XD There is fun in unlocking and building new stuff, but figuring out all the mechanics for automating production can be a bit of a learning curve... I think there's a lot less freedom there than I would like. I'm starting to get to the part where resources for upgrading are getting rather difficult to come by, so we'll see how it goes!1 found this helpful
Honestly there are the bones of a good game here. I would liken this game to Raft if your raft were stationary (and no annoying shark). In fact, I think I enjoy this game more than Raft. That said, it's still a thumbs down. Something like 80% of the design choices are good, but then the Scuba Shack just randomly can injure your survivors even though no other "farm" type building has that problem. Early on I upgraded a building and the next level needed Rope. A pretty simple and necessary item for survival. So what do you need to make rope? Well the standard items that are floating by are wood and palm fronds. You can make a net floor that can catch the items randomly floating by.. with wood and the fronds themselves. It's a net. Visually it's ropes. But to make ropes in this game you need to: go about 66% down the skill tree, unlocking ships and submarines(!), use the submarine to go to the ocean floor, which is basically an empty box, harvest crystals, make turbines and a drill to harvest more crystals, unlock the "Beacon" which ..."generates" "knowledge" whatever that means (it's not obvious from the description nor from looking at the thing itself), use the "knowledg…1 found this helpful
Game's rocking but automation suck so much... 1.5 y gone and no kiwi or any other automation filters or priors (they dnt work prprly) they suck! 50% of that game is eco and auto and it dsnt work, at all!
Cute and cozy. This is such a comfort game, it offers fun progression! The mechanics are easy to learn and they are not overwhelming. It gives you the freedom to play your own way while giving you great immersion. The story is fun too! However, the lack of certain items in the guide (e.g. Pearl) is a bit frustrating. There is no explanation about the islands or the seeds that are exclusive to them, so you have to explore and figure it out. Overall, this game is very fun to play! I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a chill builder/cozy survival.
love it
this is a cozy automation and colony-building game that's easy to relax with. the progression feels satisfying without becoming overwhelming and the automation systems are simple enough to understand while still being rewarding to optimize. i really appreciate is that the game isn't unnecessarily difficult. it lets you build and experiment at your own pace, perfect for unwinding after a long day. what makes it even more impressive is that it was developed by a single person. the amount of polish, content and thoughtful design is remarkable for a solo project. it's clear that a lot of care and passion went into this game.
