About Hopping Up for It
A magician has stored a rabbit in his enchanted top hat. Inside the hat is a pocket dimension, seemingly as big as a tower, which he uses to store his stage props and more. But the rabbit can smell a bag of carrots outside... help the rabbit hop out, for freedom and carrots! Use your mouse to determine the rabbit's jump angle and strength: it's simple to learn, difficult to master.
Hopping Up for It is a type of game that may be familiar to some: You only go up, while getting over obstacles until you reach the top. But this game would be nearly impossible for most players if not for its ability to save and load any time (and even then, it's quite the challenge)! Only a true king or queen of jumping may ever make it out without using saves-- though the game will recognize it if you do.
There will be obstacles and tricky platforms such as giant dice, bouncy balloons, sliding cards, flipping coins, teleporting wands, swinging pendants and more. Can you escape the hat?

Hopping up for it is a foddian game with a really punishing map. Fortunately, there is a mode where you can place checkpoint to practice for the no checkpoint mode. Even with checkpoint it took me around 1 hour to beat. But unfortunately, there is no achievement for clearing the game without them so the only motivation to finish it is the one you can find by yourself. The control are fairly simple, aim and click to launch, and you have an arrow to help you aim and tell you the strength% of the jump. You can also right click to do small hop in a direction. The hard part is decided by the obstacle themselves, some hindering your vision, some having optical illusion effect, some moving platform, and the ice platform which would be hell without checkpoint. Would recommend if you want a punishing game that will be hard to finish.6 found this helpful

So originally I had another game wish-listed by this developer, who unfortunately couldn't create the originally advertised game. The steam page was switched to this one instead, and I had no idea how this game appeared in my wishlist. Having a look at it I thought it looked pretty fun, so I installed it and oh my god let me tell you it was hell, in the best way possible. It took me I think about an hour before I felt somewhat confident with my ability to control it, and even then it gets SO tough towards the end. I can definitely see the inspiration from "Getting over it" and "only up", and it definitely works well as another addition to the "holy hell please stop falling" category. Brilliant game, thanks for all the hard work you put into this.2 found this helpful
A wonderful masterful puzzle jumper that would be nearly as infuriating as any other high platformer if it weren't for those blessed saves. Learning how to perfectly navigate the environment via both the jump system and obstacles was a fun challenge, although I still managed to find a way to cheese some of the corners and "stand" on them. Enjoyable if you're stubborn or a masochist!1 found this helpful
This is a fairly challenging platforming game. I like the mechanic of only being able to jump and I appreciate the fact that you can save at any time, whereas most others punish you severely for a single misstep. If you want a casual playthrough you can do that. Otherwise you can disregard saving and have more of a challenge. loved it.1 found this helpful
This game is short but it's fun, and I got it on sale for very cheap so I can't complain about that. It's not as hard as jump king or getting over it, but it's pretty difficult. The saving mechanic is really useful.1 found this helpful
