The cute fantasy visual novel, "How to Take Off Your Mask" returns as a remastered version!
The story is the same, but it has a lot of improvements as mentioned below.
This is Leezera, the capital of Eroolia.
Lilia is just an ordinary girl who works in a bakery.
She spends every day happily with her childhood friend, Ronan.
One day Lilia finds her body has shrunk.
Moreover, she has grown cat ears and a tail?!
She doesn't know that she's actually a luccretia, a half-human and half-cat creature.
She panics, jumps out through her room's window, and runs towards the town.
And the first person she bumps into is the city guard, Ronan.

Cute protagonist girl, fascinating boys to have romance, branched storyline, voice-over. User-friendly interface. 12 found this helpful
The first game in the Eroolia series "How to Take Off Your Mask" is a sweet, romantic comedy about Lilia (name changeable) and her best friend, Ronan. This is the Remastered version of the original game. Though I can't comment on the improvements since I haven't played the original game, I know that the developer spent 3 years to remaster the three games in the Eroolia series and made substantial improvements to the original game. This game is simple and lighthearted, but enjoyable, nonetheless. The sprites and CGs are beautifully drawn and captivating. There is also a nice opening theme song sung by Kuyuri (which you can purchase as a DLC on Steam), as well as good background music. Personally, I like the second and third game in the series - "How to Fool a Liar King" and "How to Sing to Open Your Heart" - better as I feel there is more depth in those stories. But, I would strongly recommend that you play this before the other two games in the series as the worldbuilding starts from the first game. Eroolia is a rich fantasy world and the first game serves as a great introduction into the world of Eroolia.7 found this helpful
Mm well... This was simple, yet cute. Although I still think this is for a much, much younger audience. There is a possibility for an older person to enjoy it... But maybe more towards the end? Like 1/3 of a way until the story ends? I mean... That's where I started to get into it. My thing was that these two are young and complete airheads. XD This is purely NORMAL for their age and I wont dock them for it... Even though it was quite annoying for the MC to keep screaming at the LI and constantly running away... Sigh. Eventually both of them become better and grow, and then the whole thing in the end. Hah! So this entire story... Works, IF you want an easy, light and fluffy novel. Keep your expectation low, especially if you've read more mature works. Obviously. (P.S. Ronan should keep his hair messed up... Looks far better that way. XD)2 found this helpful
This is a cute game, mildly entertaining and the first game in a series of 3, I believe. It's not a bad game and I enjoyed the first playthrough. Though the 100% is a bit of a slog after that since it's the same story all over again with very little changes in writing. The art style is okay, the music is okay, and while the series has an overarching story that is pretty good, the first game is slow in kicking it off. The characters are quirky and lovable, but young, naive and full of troupes. Price is a bit steep (14,79 euros as of writing this), however I got it on sale so I feel I got my moneys worth that way, so get it on sale.1 found this helpful
