About Huglings

Please note: Huglings is currently midway through development. Many core features are already taking shape, but some elements - such as visuals, content, and polish - are still a work in progress and may change as development continues. We’ll keep this page updated with the latest improvements and additions along the way. Thank you for your patience, support and for being part of the journey! You’re a Hugling - one of the lovable little folk living in a soft, storybook world. When your village is gently disturbed by nearby goblins, your journey begins not with conflict, but with care, creativity, and kindness. Play solo or together with up to four players, and slowly help the village feel like home again.Spend your days crafting cozy furniture, farming under warm skies, fishing by quiet waters, and decorating your dream house with love. Meet charming villagers, share small moments, and build bridges between the two tribes. With no pressure and no wrong way to play, Huglings is a calm, comforting adventure where friendship grows, creativity blooms, and every peaceful moment is worth savoring.

🌸 A Cozy World Full of Variety

Relax on a quiet island - each place offering its own cozy moment to explore. Enjoy the view from a lookout by the lake, then wander through a lively market filled with warm atmosphere. Visit the goblin village and step into their playful fantasy world, explore a glowing mine hidden underground, or walk across rocky mountains on a rope bridge. Pick flowers in peaceful fields and take your time discovering every corner. The world is handcrafted, colorful, and made to be enjoyed slowly.

🏡 Your Dream Home

Make a house that’s truly yours, decorate every corner exactly how you like, inside and out, including your very own garden. Choose from a wide variety of furniture, plants, and cozy decorations to create a warm, personal space. In multiplayer, you and your friends can decorate a house together, mix and match styles, and bring your dream cozy world to life!

🎨 Deep Customization

Bring your Hugling to life exactly how you imagine. Choose every detail from hairstyles and hats to cute cat-ear headphones, backpacks, and all their colors. Whether you’re going for cute, quirky, or completely your own style, your Hugling becomes a true reflection of you.

🐾 Adorable Pet Companions

Choose a sweet little companion to follow you on your journey. Your pet stays by your side wherever you go, sharing every step of the adventure with you. A quiet presence, a loyal friend because everything feels cozier with company.

🐰 Cute Animals

The village is full of cute animals just waiting to be cared for. Feed them, give them attention, and watch them react with little hearts, showing their love for you. Spending time with these sweet companions is a calm, heartwarming way to add life and charm to your world.

💫 The Enchanted Goblin Village

Step into a magical world unlike any other. The goblin village is full of strange, wondrous plants, mysterious animals, and whimsical details at every turn. The goblins themselves are playful tricksters full of mischief, but never aggressive. To bring peace between the Huglings and goblins, you’ll need curiosity and kindness. It’s a colorful, enchanting place that invites you to discover, and see life from a whole new perspective.

🌱 Farming & Homegrown Life

Tend your garden and grow your own crops at home. Sell your harvest to unlock charming new decorations and furniture for your house. Farming is a peaceful, cozy activity, watch your plants flourish as you nurture them.

🌿 Gathering

Roam the world as you gather essential resources for crafting and survival. Chop wood from sturdy trees, mine stone from rocky cliffs, and collect valuable raw materials along the way. Pick colorful flowers, harvest berries from wild bushes, and enjoy the simple magic of gathering everything nature has to offer.

✨ Cozy Adventures

Take your time and enjoy the journey - there’s no rush and no wrong way to play. Solve challenges with kindness instead of fighting, and make friends with the villagers who help you along the way. Huglings is all about wandering at your own pace, discovering hidden secrets, and creating heartwarming memories in a gentle, enchanting world.

(I have brain damage, so please keep this in mind if you want to respond to my review. More information about my situation can be found on the top of my profile, so please read that beforre you leave a comment). After playing about 10 hours the game is finished. The rest I farmed for rediculous achievements. You can't even use the hotbar yourself, it's just static and once it's full and you have for example 999 wood you cannot collect any wood anymore since there is no such thing as an inventory in this game. I quote the dev what her solution was for getting more inventory space because of the stack of wood being 999 and the stone being 999. "Just build a campfire or craft something for your house, to have lesser stone and wood. That is no ssolution for this problem, that's making an excuse for it why it is so bad. You can't even do dailies because of the hotbar being to full, which makes playing the game afterr it's story is over, which is a dull story to begin with, pretty much useless and pointless. This game is so far from finished that it should never have left early access! It's pricetag is ridiculously high for what you get back for it. I'd say: Only buy it in a HUGE SALE o…

Huglings is a slow paced, sweet relaxing explorative game with beautiful environments, sceneries and super cute animals. There's approximately 8-12hrs of main storyline at the minute but there's no need to rush with the mini daily quests and decorating. The game is in early access and the devs are continuing to work on it for further seasonal updates. It's not a finished game yet and with more updates in the future, it has great potential! I loved: I really appreciate the motion sickness option for my accessibility needs as I'm easily nauseous so that was a great find. The swimming is really cool and I love that it's an option some games miss out on that completely. There's lots to explore and take your time with and I can see it being really cute roaming around with a little group of friends. The homes are quite large so lots of space to decorate with multiple rooms if you love going on collecting missions for décor then you're going to love it! I'd love to see some mechanics in the future where we can build to make our own plot and house. So far I've not had any walking issues with invisible blocks but I know the devs are really hands on in their discord to make improvements s…

I played this game for the first time recently and I absolutely loved it! The artwork is soft and so cute!! The game (to me) is meant to be played at a slow place so you can really just take everything in. There are cute little discoverable areas that so absolutely adorable. I cannot wait to explore this game more and see how it grows!! One feature I really like is the motion sickness option. I get motion sickness easily during certain games and to have this feature is a wonderful accessibility add-on. You can access it in the setting or the game will have a pop-up asking if you'd like to turn it on. <3 I have not ran into any tech issues as of yet but the devs are very helpful within discord to answer any questions or help when you are stuck!

I really do like the idea behind the game, especially the multiplayer is very valuable. The style is quite cute and it's an ambitious project for 2 devs. However i can't recommend the game at this point. I sadly had to drop out of it because it's very poorly optimized. The camera control makes me sick and the motion sickness mode only makes the camera stutter even more. There are a lot of gllitches and the phyiscs and movement is completely broken. I really love the cozy game genre but i haven't played a game with this broken controls in a while. The items dropped from stone and tree should not be physical entities in the overworld as they simply push you out of bounds. Every character or animal has zero weight to them so you get pushed by a small bunny into oblivion. And the walk speed is quite strong making you launch into the air by any and every little ramp be it a small stone or a quest npc. At this state it's just an overpriced game with not much to do and poorly optimized movements and barely any character customization hidden behind ui options. (Why are there no beards to choose when even the npcs got them) This game should either be in early access or around 5$ as any othe…
