Hyspherical 2

There are 4 types of puzzle games on steam. The first type have puzzles that are so easy that a lobotomized gibbon could do them. The next type are the ones that have puzzles so confusing, undefined, and/or difficult that you end up going to the hospital after putting your fist throught the wall (and when you return just go on you tube and find a solution). The third is a haphazzard combination of the two making you wonder if the lobotomized gibbon is now developing games. The fourth are the gems. These are the games that are difficult enough that you ALMOST have to go on you tube for a solution but still solvable so that when you perservere you feell like you've accomplished something. Joyfully, this is one of them. As of this writing, I have finished all of the puzzles. Several took quite a few whacks at it to slowly eliminate incorrect pathways. And each time I would solve a difficult one, it truly felt like I conquered something!! The premise is simple. You need 1 complete rotation of all of the spheres on the screen. The catch? They are on multiple pathways (sometimes multiple speeds) and they cannot touch each other. No special effects. No open world. No gimmi…

Really not that good of a puzzle game. First of all, they're circles - not spheres. Puzzles are mostly a matter of timing. You place circles on a track and they move around the track and must not collide with other circles doing the same thing. The trouble is, on many levels the tracks are of different lengths, and the lengths are not multiples or fractions of each other so unless you are quick to complete the level, two circles on different tracks will eventually go out of phase enough that they will inevitably collide. So there is a bit of planning to a difficult level but it isn't all that satisfying. Hey, it's still better than SNIK though!

I think this game is really cool I like the music and the gameplay is surprisingly simple and engaging

[h1]I really liked the idea, but for me, it has problems.[/h1] The part I like about this puzzle game, is that you should be able to recognize a pattern of movement through the objects. So that if you can place the balls at the correct spot at the right time, they shouldn't collide with other balls on the other -- success; awesome; great idea! And the levels that have each object of the same circumference (or multiple thereof), this is great! [b]Problem 1:[/b] The problem is, there's a number of levels where the objects do NOT have the same circumference (or some multiple of each other). So the balls placed on two intersecting objects, given enough time, will ALWAYS collide with each other eventually. So to accomplish these levels, you have to rush an imperfect solution (to me), as the circles will travel ONCE around, but you can tell that on some levels that the balls won't survive even a few more seconds without colliding let alone multiple laps, or infinitely. (Which is what I think the puzzle should have been. But that's me.) But since they all traveled ONCE around, the level was graded a success and you move on. I guess if you like puzzle games this isn't a bad pick. Not really my jam, but I think it seems fairly well put together.
