About I Can Only Speak Doner
WELCOME TO THE GRIND. WELCOME TO CONFUSION.You have moved to a foreign country to run your uncle’s Doner shop. There is just one problem: You don’t speak a word of the local language.I Can Only Speak Doner mixes high-speed, rhythm-based cooking with a tense communication puzzle. You aren't just battling the clock; you are trying to understand what your customers actually want.
TAKE THE ORDER (IF YOU CAN)
📝 THE MENU DANCE
Ordering isn't automatic. Since you don't speak the language, you have to rely on visual cues.- Hand them the menu and watch closely where they point.
- Take the note: Try to mark down the correct dish.
- Watch the finger: If you guessed wrong, they will shake their finger at you.
- Try again: Correct your mistake before their patience bar hits zero.
COOK WITH RHYTHM
🥪 KEYBOARD-ONLY FLOW
Once the order is confirmed, the rush begins. Put away the mouse—this is a keyboard-only experience designed for flow state. Slice the meat, toast the bread, and wrap the orders using precise key combinations. When the lunch rush hits, your fingers need to fly.⚠️ SPOT THE TROUBLEMAKERS
It’s not just hungry locals walking through that door. Every customer is randomly generated, but keep an eye out for special indicators:- Thieves: They aren't here to eat. Catch them before they swipe your tip jar.
- The Impatient: They hate waiting. Prioritize their orders or face the consequences.
- The Picky Eaters: They demand specific ingredients—hope you took good notes!
🌙 CHOOSE YOUR EVENING
The day ends, but the strategy begins. You have limited time and energy after work. How will you spend your evening?- Language Center: Go to class so you can understand customers faster and with fewer errors.
- Throw a Party: Boost your shop's popularity to bring in more customers (and more cash).
- Go Shopping: Buy Tip Boxes, Drink Dispensers, or unlock new ingredients to expand your menu.
FEATURES
- Communication Puzzles: A unique mechanic where you must physically offer menus and interpret gestures to get the order right.
- Roguelite Elements: Randomly generated customers with unique looks and behaviors every day.
- Strategic Progression: Balance your money between shop efficiency and your own education.
- Pixel Art Charm: A vibrant, bustling atmosphere inspired by classic management games.
- Keyboard Flow: Satisfying, tactile controls designed for speedrunners and typing enthusiasts.

One hour in and I now act like a true kebap man (woman), calling everyone "boss" and telling them "for you my friend, I put extra" despite adding absolutely nothing extra. The customer smiles, I smile, I make profit, and nobody questions a single thing at all. Peak realism 10/10. Also, special thanks to the developers for educating the world, because real food experts and kebap professionals know it’s called Döner, not “shawarma”10 found this helpful
Awesome little indie game!5 found this helpful
It's a lovely game, a bit lacking in content, but I cannot complain about it taking how cheap it is. Very solid base, with simple, but fun gameplay loop. That it actualyl forces you to learn the language to be able to succede is very fun, just a bit of a pity that the party and language app get redundant very quickly. You don't really need the extra money if you get all stars without menu and you don't need the lanugage app onec you learn. Actually the words randomly getting transalted late game are more annoying than useful. Also my language specifciation don't save and there is a soft lock bug if you select anything in the phone day 1 that is not move to day 22 found this helpful
Controller support is very buggy. The game is unplayable.2 found this helpful

cute little game. I imagine that running a kebab shop must be pretty stressful, but this game is great for turning your brain off for a while
