A diner simulator where you cook döner, serve customers, and grow your establishment. The idea sounds interesting, but the execution is disappointing: the controls are awkward, there are many bugs, the interface is weak, and the process quickly becomes monotonous.

Doner Master Simulator: Prologue is a surprisingly hands on restaurant simulator, and I liked the idea of actually having to prepare the food instead of simply watching numbers go up. I take over a döner shop and have to learn the equipment, prepare ingredients and make orders based on what each customer wants. I enjoyed the feeling of physically going through the preparation process because it makes the restaurant feel like a place I am actually working in. The cooking itself is the main attraction for me. I have to prepare the ingredients, assemble the döner and pay attention to the individual preferences of customers. I liked that the game asks me to do more than simply make one standard meal every time. Remembering what customers want and getting their orders right gives the basic cooking loop a little more pressure. The management side is fairly simple, but it gives the cooking a useful sense of purpose. I have to think about how I use the equipment and how efficiently I can prepare everything, while keeping customers satisfied.
