Well you don't actually cook yourself as everything is automatic animation but you handle many tasks to make everything work and you prepare the plate yourself. You can make them as good looking or as ugly as you want lol. Prologue doesn't give access to much but you can see the kind of features, decorations and recipes available (and it's quite alot). The strength of the game is probably that it's called "Kebab chef" but you can actually cook so much more than just kebab: Fries, burgers, sushis, desserts (cinnamon rolls, cheese cake...). So yeah. If you don't really like kebabs, just cook something else are you are the one deciding what you serve. Some plates seems not cookable at some seasons unless you made stock of ingredients because those said ingredients are not available at the store. In this game, you go visit other stores (butcher, market, grocery) and get the ingredients that you need. It's not delivered right to your door. But the preparation phase is unlimited in time at beginning of each days so you have all the time in the world to decide what's on the menu, go shop and prepare first plates and ingredients before opening. Kebab Chefs: Prologue is a cooking and restaurant management game that lets me run a small restaurant and slowly turn it into something better. I start by renovating the place, learning recipes and preparing food for customers, then use the money I make to improve the restaurant. I like the basic idea because it is simple to understand but gives me a few different things to focus on. I am not just cooking food. I am also deciding what to serve, how the restaurant looks and what I should improve next. The cooking itself is the part I enjoy most. I have to prepare ingredients and follow the steps needed for different dishes, and the recipe book expands as I progress. There are main courses, soups, appetizers and desserts, so I am not stuck making one type of food for the whole experience. I like having to actually prepare the dishes rather than simply choosing something from a menu and waiting for it to finish. It gives the restaurant side of the game a more hands on feeling. I also like the management and decorating side because it gives me something to work towards outside the kitchen.
