This has a lot going for it! You may have seen a thousand of these survivors-like incremental games with the radial upgrade trees and stage time limits and all that, it's a familiar formula- but this one makes it work with an exceptionally well-thought-through set of powers and enemy behaviors that really make you think through how you're moving. For example, lategame, you have these heal zones that intermittently heal you if you're standing in them. The heal zones always spawn where you currently are (dangerous, enemies are moving and shooting that way), but their scaling damage buff is critical to getting through the tankier enemies, so you need to be trying to get as many as you can. You've got your hammer, and maybe you could slow the incoming enemies that way, but it's pointed the wrong way, so right now you need to move and try and loop around them to get back to the heal in time... or maybe you want to heal right now but those super-fast rats are closing in on you and you need to just take the L and kite them for a while instead. The strongest ability, the smite, requires you to move from one end of the field to the other for maximum efficacy, so that keeps you moving to…

Really fun game! The music, art and gameplay are all very nice and everything feels super polished. Plus, (and this is an inconsequential but noted detail), the skill tree has such a cool design and it was really fun to fill it out!

This game is half bullet heaven (think Vampire Survivors) and half incremental game. It has a tight, quasi-roguelike gameplay loop where you fight a room full of monsters, pick up loot, and then win or lose, that loot is tallied and sold so you can buy upgrades. It's not a clicker. There's actual skill involved, and the latter bosses (especially in the post-game, and yes, there's a post-game) are challenging and fun! The art and music are cute, neo-retro style, very nostalgic. Honestly with how good the pixel art is outside the gameplay, I kinda wish the sprites for your character and the enemies were a bit more detailed, but it's a stylistic choice. The gameplay is simple but deeper than it looks, and the upgrades are varied and open up a lot as the game goes on, with multiple different attacks, and characters who open up whole new systems. None of the systems individually are all that deep, but they do all vary the gameplay, and that's what matters. The upgrades are addictive and the loop hooks you in. One more room. One more upgrade. It's an engrossing and entertaining game that will keep you playing for 5-7 hours. I really enjoyed it!

I had so much fun 100%ing this game! It's simple, great fun. Not overstaying its welcome, plot is simple and the numbers go way up. Buy it. Worth every penny.

I'm not sure where all of these identical-looking games are coming from, but others are better than this one.
