About Incremental Ragebait

To Ragebait Goddess Concordia, you first must kill many of her creations. When you kill, you steal souls. Souls allow you to purchase upgrades, weapons, and build the purgatory.  But beware, the living fight back when attacked, making your exploits reach heaven won’t be as easy as you think.
In purgatory, you need to balance your economy between growing your population and harvesting its souls. Houses generate people while Rage Altars take their souls by up keeping a balance between the two. Ragebaiting can be automated.Stairs of Divinity represent the heart of the game. They are responsible for empowering both Ragebaiting and purgatory. Here, you can create a build that combines various upgrades of your choice. All for a single purpose — Ragebaiting. In Lucifer's shop, you can buy weapons with unique effects and then equip a multitude of them to create a broken combination that will sweep away all living beings!
A strategic incrementalIncremental Ragebait is about making numbers go up, but how you do that is up to you. At your disposal:
 • Active play where you kill people to harvest their souls with Incrementus.
 • Upgrades that enhance and modify both purgatory structures and Incrementus in the real world.
 • The weapon shop, with a selection that allows for extreme, synergetic effects
 • A purgatory where you can idle your way through the path of ragebaiting god.

If you like Numbers Going Up and having a use for these numbers on stuff like base building and battles, this game is for you.

Will you join Incrementus?

A very enjoyable game to play between lol sessions. Honestly, I haven't encountered any bugs so far.

-edit 1- Achievements are working now ^_^ I mean, its an interesting game, but there are a handful of obnoxious bugs and QoL issues. The QoL issue that is most bothersome is that I somehow got an insane amount of souls to spend.... and theres so many nodes to buy... so many nodes. I spent over an hour buying the nodes and I couldn't even buy all of them because some of them have been hidden behind other nodes. Then, once I'd bought all the nodes, I went into the third to last map, and I couldn't damage anything. I changed weapons, changed maps, just couldn't do any damage anymore. It was annoying. I'll update this should things change, but we'll see.

One section of the skill tree seems to do nothing until some random upgrade is gotten, Huge amounts of Lag, overlapping skill nodes in skill tree, after a certain point weapon slot upgrades top working, doesn't save setting changes, [strike] overall: 2/10 [/strike] Edit: Also, achievements don't work. Score lowered to 1/10

The art and premise are really nice, and the progression feels stable. Hopefully there'll be more content to come.

Ultimately it's a very cute and passionate indie game, while it had some bugs on release, the developer was very receptive to feedback and fixing bugs. The game is overall really fun, has a good level of polish (after the initial bug-fixing from release), and the procedural tree is really balanced and a fun gimmick, the art is very cute and animations snappy. A few points of critique I currently have:

Enemies can run off-screen or behind UI elements, and enemies take quite some time to spawn.
The pop-ups for the stats show up even though the stats themselves are invisible until bougt
Would be nice if Esc closed the current menu/ui rather than always bring up the menu
SFX normalisation, some are far too loud
Zooming in and out is centred on the camera, rather than the cursor
The dev is super receptive and open, would love to see where this game and their next games go!
