Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. Inferno is a story-driven RPG from Aldorlea Games that combines science fiction, horror, and survival themes into a focused adventure that values atmosphere over spectacle. Developed and published by Aldorlea Games, the game places players in the aftermath of a disastrous military mission where a handful of survivors find themselves trapped in an unforgiving jungle. What begins as a straightforward escape story quickly develops into a tale filled with hidden agendas, mysterious experiments, and an enigmatic warrior whose appearance raises more questions than answers. I just finished this, and I last played this 4 years ago. I didn't realize I failed to leave Indy a review. Better late than never, this is a well made rpg. I love, love, love the auto battle option! I wish all games had it (or the "rush" option). The storyline is a little disturbing, but I have played worse ones. I did not have a single bug, like I mentioned it is very well made. The underwater scenes are beautiful, very colorful.

Fire spatters like in hell every level is a patience test and I still don’t see the adrenaline rush.

This is quite a different game from Aldorlea, but still is very intriguing and fun to play. The beginning finds a ready to go party attempting to escape a base under attack, and it is their escape and all the problems that presents that is the story. Like all of Indinera's games, there are a ton of twists, turns, and assorted complexities that are overcome by persistent exploration that yield one "a-ha" moment after another. And the base is only the beginning. So this maze-like/dungeon/escape game is a good challenge offering a lot of fun as do all the Aldorlea offerings. Certainly worth a look by anyone that is a fan of the old school style of rpgs ---- very good game, absolutely recommended.
