Isle of Leil has been developed by one person as a passion project. I'm looking forward to sharing what I have created and seeing my studio grow for future projects. What Steam players say

A 6 year passion project done by a single developer, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this game. rich story elements combined with an ever growing suspense and no hand holding. make it genuinely thrilling to play. And I look forward to more.3 found this helpful
I found this game really enjoyable! Just the right blend of atmospheric horror, exploration and challenges to keep me playing until the very end! It is smooth sailing to aqcuire all of the achievements during the main story! Great for any completionists out there that are looking to add another 100% to their collection!!2 found this helpful
Atmospheric and spooky, play in the dark. Play with your settings ahead of beginning the game to get the best experience for you. Plays on steam deck with only some slight UI hiccups, which is good because I don’t think it was developed with the deck in mind.1 found this helpful
So far, I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys puzzles involving pictures and stories that involve missing people and ghostly figures. I originally played this game during a gaming festival in early August 2025 called Rapture, I met the developer personally and really enjoyed it back then, forgot it came out, and wasn't able to play it until the time of this review. I've really enjoyed the part I have played at the time of review, and hope to enjoy the rest of the game
This might be a good horror game. Sadly it's missing basic functionality. There is no key rebinding for keyboard and mouse. This is NOT some nice to have accessibility stuff for convenience - it's basic functionality for many gamers. There are left handed or disabled people, those with different keyboard layouts like AZERTY or those conditioned to a certain layout through decades of muscle memory - many of them cannot play a game without key rebinding. What's also missing is a slider for mouse sensitivity - it is way to low to play it in a comfortable way. The devs don't react to my questions on the forum, so I'm leaving a negative review. Maybe this helps. I'd be happy to switch it to positive if the game could be improved.
I have not played much of it yet, but the style is great. Cutscenes are voiced and has a lot of eeriness throughout. It's given me a few scares already, so I cannot wait for what else I'll experience! I still cannot believe this was created by a single developer, considering everything this game has to offer. If anyone is considering, please do give it a shot!!
