About Jammerball

Jammerball is a sports game based on dodgeball and inspired by the classic arcade game Windjammers.

There are 8 teams in Jammerball, and all of them have their own unique arena. Each team has a specific weakness in some aspect of the game, with only two exceptions: one with no weaknesses, and one with all of them.

Playable teams

Drunken Brothers (all weaknesses) – Drunken Dome
Broken Wings (weak speed) – Wingless Garden
The Scratchers (weak shooting potency) – Little Claw Palace
Tired Spirits (weak energy recharging speed) – Yawning Center
Exhausteds (weak total energy) – Weakness Palace
Rubber Souls (weak resistance) – Bouncing Colliseum
Soapy Hands (weak catching ability) – Slippery Ground
Mighty Highers (no weaknesses) – The Very Best Garden

I guess the sad responsibility rests on me to write what seems to be the first full Steam review for Jammerball. Jammerball is a fictional sports game based loosely on dodgeball. You have two players per side, and you have two balls. The objective is to hit the other players with your balls and their balls until they are exhausted from all the balls. The developers added 8 teams (you can choose your team from those but you can't customize it). The team you choose has little bearing on the kinds of balls you have (see what I did there? Bearings? Balls? Ball bearings!), but each team does have a specific skin for the arena so the devs put a little effort in there. On to the unfortunate reasons I cannot ultimately recommend this game. The game assets are really low quality. The characters all start out t-posed, and the animations aren't much better. Controls are clunky and awkward. Gameplay look and feel is very low quality. The game does feature a reasonably decent rendering of each teams balls.
