About Nine Lives Ninja: Explore!
Nine Lives Ninja: Explore lets you take control of a cat (who also happens to be a ninja) as they explore an ancient cave system searching for the Fountain of Kitty Youth - the only way to restore their lost lives. How did the cat become a ninja? Aren't all their lost lives directly due to the dangers of the cave? Fantastic questions! For now let us simply join the intrepid ninja (who also happens to be a cat) and help them reach their goal.
Nine Lives Ninja: Explore is a platformer with metroidvania elements. It features multiple game modes, retro-pixel graphics, tight controls, collectibles, and achievements to uncover.

A simple and straightforward platformer that is fun without being too difficult. Mechanics are easy to figure out and explained well in the short tutorial level. Fans of retro games will appreciate the art style, though the graphics definitely has room for some improvement. The music is catchy and loops but doesn't feel repetitive. Where this game really shines is in the level design. Certain areas are not reachable until you have picked up the right items, so there is some trekking back and forth until you figure it all out and become more familiar with the layout. I felt this was very well thought out and made this little game more than just a dex-based platformer. This game was a lot of fun and I found myself enjoying it a lot more than I was expecting. For this being the developer's first game, I think they are definitely off to a good solid start. As others have mentioned, the game is indeed very short. However the price of $0.99 is absolutely fair and I would definitely recommend this game.1 found this helpful
Very fun (mildly frustrating at some points) Took me roughly an hour to complete. Had a blast playing the few levels and different gamemodes. Recommend this game if you're looking for a small, quick game.
This has become my 6yo son's favourite video game and I love it as it has so much old school side scroller feel. Watching him move his whole body and arms to the right to try and make that big jump and then learning about resilience and patience and trying over and over is quite amusing. Definitely recommend. Also the ability to use a controller on this is great.
Loved it! Took me exactly 60 minutes to 100% Recommend!
Felt like being Naruto and a cat, at the same time, freakin masterpiece! And ez 100 %
I like the pixel design of the game, makes it feel like im on a NES.
