Journey to the King

I enjoyed the demo, figured I'd pick this up since it's cheap. The difficulty ramps up pretty intensely after the first world. You'll need to use those chicken wings to purchase upgrades like extra lives, armor, speed... Problem is you'll need to grind those chicken wings in order to buy those upgrades so you can try that level again.. Because that level absolutely needs the speed or high jump. I gave up on the transition to the third world. You get to some swinging vines, but due to their speed and connection I have found it impossible to jump from one to the other. Can't move forward, and the simplistic level design is not so fun when you have to run through it again multiple times for chicken wing grinding or just as another attempt at a level. So.. In the end, can't say I like it. I'm not unhappy with my purchase. I just didn't expect the game to turn into a platformer so reliant on timing. I still find the game kind of charming, and hope the developer keeps at it.
