Just Dodge, LOL is a really simple game on the surface, but I found that there is quite a bit more to it once I started playing. The whole idea is built around one skill, dodging. I do not have a weapon, magic or some powerful ability that can get me out of trouble. I simply have to survive the different trials by moving carefully and avoiding everything being thrown at me. I liked how focused the game is because there is no confusion about what I am supposed to be doing. The bullet hell style gameplay is easily the strongest part for me. The levels throw different hazards and attacks at me, and I have to learn the patterns while finding safe places to move. It can be extremely challenging, but there is something satisfying about finally getting through a section that was giving me trouble. I also liked that there are no lives or traditional game overs, so I can immediately repeat a trial and try to improve rather than being punished with a long restart. The game also has an upgrade system that gives me some control over how I approach the challenges.
