Kairos'Light

"Kairos'Light" is not a PC game, it's a mobile app, but it's here on Steam as well, for no appreciable reason. It's a weird and esoteric "life simulator" adventure game where you follow a daily routine and "put right what once went wrong" as you're sent back in time by some supernatural being to take part in a really mediocre 2D adventure game. In French. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+…

Est-ce un chef-d'œuvre ou bien une comète venue toute droite de M51, je saurais pas dire… Mais une chose est sure, aujourd’hui, j’ai vu les étoiles. J;aurais laissé l'entièrete de mon Samsung 990 pro 2To PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 si Edmond me l'avait demandé. Mais merci aux devs pour ce jeu, puissiez vous vivre une vie de mouette portée par le vent.

The game is only partially translated to English. Not unplayable, but I don't really like it. I'm sure others don't mind. And it seems to be a good game.

Un jeu intéressant et sans fin ouverte. Difficile de tout équilibrer : argent, santé, points de vie, énergie, faim et vie sociale. Pourtant, on est libre de faire ce qu’on veut. Il y a tellement de choses et de chemins à explorer. An interesting and free-ending game. Difficult to balance everything, money, health, hit points, energy, hunger and social life. Yet, I am free to do anything in the game. Many things and paths to explore.

Игра 'Kairos'Light' оказалась приятным сюрпризом. Простая, но затягивающая механика "три в ряд" с элементами RPG создаёт интересный геймплей. Особенно понравилась система крафта, позволяющая создавать мощные предметы, и разнообразие персонажей с уникальными способностями. Визуальный стиль, хоть и пиксельный, выполнен качественно и с любовью, создавая приятную атмосферу. Музыкальное сопровождение ненавязчивое и хорошо дополняет игровой процесс. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую однообразность ближе к концу игры и не всегда очевидные подсказки по крафту. Однако, это не критично и не портит общего впечатления. В целом, 'Kairos'Light' - это достойная игра в своем жанре, которая может затянуть на несколько часов. Рекомендую всем любителям головоломок и RPG. Хороший вариант для тех, кто ищет незатейливое, но увлекательное времяпрепровождение.
