instantly abandoned early access waste of space. a single patch a couple weeks after release, nothing since january 2025. questionable graphics aside, [b]it's a mess[/b]. for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up reason it starts in a big-ass 4:3 window with the game only occupying a tiny middle section of it, a window within a window if you will. no settings, no audio, then as soon as the optional and non-interactive tutorial is over or skipped, the game goes 'full screen' (within the window), music and sfx kick in and options appear in the pause menu. [b]only separate toggles, no volumes, and 4 window sizes, no dedicated full screen/windowed toggle, nor resolutions.[/b] I clicked around, 4x size made things way too big without the ability to do anything but alt+f4. restarted the game and luckily (in this case, otherwise it's a bug) it didn't save window settings, only audio, so back to a window within a window. click start, skip tutorial, game goes full screen with the game in a tiny window, so I clicked around some more, trying to find the best option, but it's [b]inconsistent as ♥♥♥♥ and doesn't work as intended in the slightest[/b]. sometimes it goes full screen when choosing size, sometimes it doe…

It is a solitaire roguelike with, in my opinion, a lot of potential. However, it is really short, quite buggy, and seems to have been abandoned by the developer during early access, with the last update being 15 months ago. Also, this might just be me, but something about the color scheme makes my eyes hurt quite a bit, so I can only play it in the smallest window available. Shame, if the developer comes back, starts working on the game again, fixes the issues, and adds more content, I would 100% recommend it. But in its current state, I’m not sure it’s worth it, even if it’s free. I can’t say if the bugs are only in the Linux version or not (I would guess not), but overall, the Linux version is definitely playable.

Was super fun and had me work my brain out! Defo wish it was longer but again it was super fun! Has some replayability atm so if im feinding I shall give it another shot!

Roguelites are my favorite genre, I'll start with that. I've played a couple of the big name ones, like Hades, Balatro, Peglin, and Slay the Spire. These are all of course better polished, but don't take that to mean this game doesn't understand what it wants to be, or is bad. As it stands, this game is ultimately described best as "solitaire with a little more randomness, and also a cute otter is there." I don't think I'd recommend this yet, but with more work I could easily see that change. Looking a little further into Klondike, being a little more generically user-friendly, and overall just having more to be seen could take this far. I hope the game sees more work, and if it does I hope to see what's changed. Until then, I'd recommend just giving this game about half an hour, reviewing it with what you'd want out of it, then going and playing solitaire with a physical pack of cards.
