About Knife Quest

Knife Quest is a platform videogame where the character will have to find 3 coins that will allow him to open a new portal to go to the next level.

This is a 2D platform game with his own mechanics, you will always have your knife, your dagger, and you can throw it at the enemies to kill them to clear the way and continue your adventure.
In the game there will be a lot of platforms, some more stable, some less and some may even move on their own, so the world of the game will consist of several gameplay phases, even completely unexpected, so, when you play the game... stay focused!

In passing the various levels you will also have to pay attention to certain areas of the game that can cause damage to the character.

There are secret passages in the game, have fun finding them all!

Knife Quest is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of video games everywhere. This is a very generic platformer with a vague fantasy theme as you lob knives at retro pixel blobs while otherwise being a kind of lame ripoff of Super Mario Brothers, only considerably worse. This mess was slapped together lazily with the craptastic Godot Engine, giving GameMaker Studio a solid run for the money on the race to be the absolute worst video game engine ever. It looks like it was made just filling out a template/copying a 2D platformer tutorial. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and no matter what you do with a shoddy game engine, it's impossible to make a decent game out of it, as Knife Quest shows clearly. Resolution and controls are locked, and can't be changed or customised to improve the visuals or the control experience. A choice was made to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. These flaws push this game far below min…

An enjoyable mini platformer despite it's frustratingly difficult design. $5 might be a bit much but it's been in several bundles so could be worth a pickup there for a quick bit of fun.
