Knockout League - Arcade VR Boxing

fun but only 6 bosses

Personally, this game brought back some fond memories of "Punch Out" from back in the 8-bit heydays. Good game and the only boxing game I bought in VR so far BUT...If anyone planning to buy this has a quest 3 or quest 3s, I'd say do not buy the steam version. Go to the Meta store and buy it there because devs aren't implementing the mixed reality update on steam games where Meta is. Nothing like fighting these characters in your living space and seeing them standing in your living room. Until we start seeing Mixed Reality Steam updates, I'd say buy the Meta MR updated versions until then. Once steam starts updating with MR, then stick to Steam versions since they've been around forever. As far as the game goes, it's basically punch out in VR and like punch out, its based on patterns and timed shots rather than flailing your hands everywhere in a rando fashion. Great game.

Honestly, this is the best vr boxing game in my opinion. A good mix of a workout and gamefication that it doesn't get boring. If you want realism, there are other vr boxing games that are good at that. if you want strictly a video game, you wouldn't be looking a vr title. This is right in the middle. All that being said, it doesn't seem like more is being added to the game at this time and I noticed some performance issues in Windows compared to other vr games over time. I'm currently playing on Bazzite and that works with the minor inconvenience of the 2D videos being all wonky. The reason I'm writing this review though is to let people know the in-game profiles do not seem to Steam sync. When I reinstalled on my Bazzite system, all progress was reset. It isn't a huge deal for me, but it's a "before you buy" piece of info.

Game constantly crashes, I can't even get though the tutorial without crashing.
