The game is SOOO BRUTALLY HARD I like it

I finished it in half an hour then spend a little more time to unlock the second playable character (called Mordred) and play with it a little bit. I only finished this game with so little time, because I'm so bad in these kind of games that I had to play it on "Practise" difficulty (, which was only added more than half a year later to original release - huge thanks!), which gives you infinite amount of times to "Continue" the level where you died. Call it a skill issue, I don't mind. There is a Tutorial level along with 4 additional stages, and a bonus Ex stage (, which you need to beat the last stage on higher difficulties, so I don't know what it does), but every stage has a final boss at the end of it, and you can also defeat them in different way called Overkill, which is going to change the last fighting phase(s). You have three abilities: 1) spam bullets as much as the enemies spam (do it before ammos price get an inflation here too) 2) dash/slash with your sword and move along with it to any direction ignoring any damage you would take during it (you can use it twice then you need to wait to recharge it - grey icon on top left corner) 3) scan your surrounding enemies (th…

This game looks and plays great but is extremely difficult. Because it promotes accessibility for difficulty levels I can't reccomend it when only 13% of people have cleared level 4 on any difficulty.

I've been waiting for a game to scratch that zero ranger itch of fun, cool, and rewarding to play for a modern audience. If you're stuck on a level they even got a practice mode that lets you replay bosses. For someone that's never done a 1cc before that's greatly appreciated. I thought there would be more games like zero ranger but very little came close in design or visuals. I even tagged this game with ranger-like to help people like me who wanted more. My only complaint with this game is the lack of in game rewards to incentivize getting high-scores and the results screen that gives your level rank looking a like a receipt instead of matching the game 's colorful and flashy energy and emphasizing your level rank. I want to care about scoring but its hard to care with the colors being muted.

A very well designed shoot em up game. I like the flow, bullet patterns, length and player character abilities.
