Little Aquarium is visually appealing and relaxing to have running while working, with cute aesthetics and pleasant sound design, but it has critical technical issues that severely limit its enjoyment. The game lacks save functionality, so progress is lost when closed, and players report being unable to exit properly or purchase certain items like fish packets, making it feel incomplete and broken. Players suggest waiting for these fundamental features to be implemented before purchasing.
This is a really cool game. Visually very appealing, the sound effects are fun. That being said there seems to be no way to save, neither locally nor to the cloud. I left the game open since I bought it and racked up about 40 hours, closed the game, and came back to see that my fish were gone. Given that MSRP of Little Aquarium is 5 dollars it's a low risk purchase but I can NOT recommend it until your fish persist through sessions. BONUS POINTS to the dev if they implement a system that lets you accrue money even while the game is closed (like an idler).3 found this helpful

Game is Broken. I cannot buy a fish packet. So I am stuck with the same 3 fish, but I can buy everything else... DO NOT BUY!
Adorable game to have on the desktop while working.
No way to close and your progress isn't saved. Cute game, but seriously not functional.
