Will not run well on laptop, no optimisations. even tried 600x800 and it still runs at 5 frames per sometimes2 found this helpful
Snow Riders is one of the best 3d physics games available on steam. It is hard to categorize, but I would say it is somewhere between a racing game and a platform game. It has a wonderful soundscape which makes you feel like you are outside. It is a peaceful game that you can play at the end of the day when your brain needs a game you can *feel* your way through instead of *think* your way through. If you are on a steam deck, I recommend the following settings for a smooth experience: Snow Trail Quality: Light Only Shadow Quality: Off Disable Antialiasing, Anisotropic Filtering, and SSAO And set everything else to Low2 found this helpful
After 7 months and around 70 hours of gameplay, I've come to highly enjoy this game. Even though for the majority of my playtime so far, I've played alone. I still highly recommend this game to those of you who like a skiing/racing/tricking kind of game. This game has brought much fun to my brain, and will likely continue to do so.1 found this helpful
There is a residue menu bug after crossing the finishline. Bug report submited but there's no reply/update for a month already.
The camera takes a few minutes to get used to, but you should absolutely push through: this game is a joy to play! The feeling of freedom you get is incredible, the sensation of speed is exhilarating. My favorite part is the fact that you get to experiment to find the best (often hidden and/or dangerous) line to get faster and faster. 10/10, would crash into a tree again. Bonus: plays very well on Steam Deck too!
gotta go fast!
