You wake up alone in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by an endless forest and unsettling sounds in the distance. Your goal is simple: find a way out without being eaten alive. It captures that claustrophobic feeling of being trapped in a house perfectly. The developer really understands how to use sound and lighting to keep you on edge without relying purely on jumpscares. For a solo project, the polish is incredible.
The sanity mechanic of having to huddle near a candle was unfun, and later I realized the candles and matches just constantly respawn so you theoretically can just have candles on everywhere all the time which negates the whole purpose? The new screaming enemy of this portion I didn't understand why she was there and was more of an annoyance than anything. If you have not yet played the original episodes, I'm sure this game will be enjoyable for the average horror lover.
Lost Alone Ultimate is a massive upgrade over the original episodes. You get all three chapters in one cohesive package, and the amount of content here for the price is unbeatable for indie horror fans.
The story is NOT for the faint hearted. If you enjoy a walking simulator game with heavy puzzles and very story driven narrative, you will enjoy this title.
Absolute gem of a game! This is an excellent narrative about domestic violence, mental illness, and child abuse. This story builds upon the story given in episode 1. I would highly recommend you play them in order.
I’ve spent a few hours in the game so far, and overall I’m really enjoying it. The crafting system and UI are definitely one of the strongest parts. Everything feels clean and well thought out. The overall visuals are great too, character, environment and assets all look really solid and atmospheric. Resource gathering feels satisfying and animations are nicely done. That said, there are only a few small areas that could be refined further over time. I noticed some occasional visual inconsistencies with fog, LODs, and object pop-in, which slightly affect immersion in rare moments, but nothing major. Still, the game already shows a lot of potential. The foundation is very strong and with some polish technical side, this could turn into something really special. I would say the game worth it's price! Looking forward to seeing how it develops 👍
