We are "intiny", we are all "split personality" nerds who want to have date every day, but will never step out of the house to the real world. Thereford, we would like use interactive video as tool to create one fantasy dream after another, to create dreams for players, and to make our dreams to come true for ourselves.
At the beginning, we said we were going to make a interactive video, and then there were a lot of topics. As for why we finally chose love, it may be because the pictures posted in the intro slides are eye-catching . We, nerds in the team, had suddenly become impatient. Then we immediately decided, "I want to fall in love , I want to date girls!" After we’ve decided the topic, we started to collect "secrets" from our friends.
The nerdy guy, named B, his first love was on the night of the graduation party of high school. He saw the female classmate who shared a table with him, drinking and singing with others, and only then did he realize that this girl was so interesting and adorable. But after that night, he never saw her again ;
L (he paints a lot and do it for a living, but he does not allow us to call him a painter) once fell for a girl who is five years older than him. The girl repeated the final year of high school 4 times, but still didn’t get herself enrolled in the professional Fine Arts school, and finally let go of the obsession and became a substitute teacher in an art institution. That is the reason why L studied Fine Arts;
A College student ,C, fell in love with his fellow student, but this girl had a childhood sweetheart;
W,born with a silver spoon, is a little luckier than C, but not much. He did have a childhood sweetheart, but when they grew up, this girl got married with another guy;

What you see is what you get. The writing and acting, and characters are fairly flat, and everyone pretty much falls in love with you at first glance. At least "Five hearts" had it humor to fall back on, but this seems to purely be "cute moments with cute girls", without anything underneath. Perhaps I dropped the game too soon, but I just could not stand how stale the writing felt, 'It's another 6 Girls, each with their own trope' thing, rather than them having actual personalities. and that's not a bad thing, and may work for some, But if I'm playing a 'dating sim' I actually want to get to know the characters as 'people', rather than 'a collection of cute moments.' I just can't really get attached to any characters like that. I just don't understand why we can't have both cute/sexy girls, with a bare minimum level of depth. JRPG's and otome games figured that out decades ago.

Xiao Lu my beloved, YES! Finally an archetype done well. I don't think any other FMV that I have played achieved the same relatable feeling as how Xiao Lu was written. It is probably MY favorite trope of a low income home but filled with joy and carefree spirit. Most likely because that is the love I hope to achieve before my passing even while I work toward a high income lifestyle. Her alone is worth the game and honestly, remove everyone else. Bring her back for a solo game and I will buy it. I will review the game but I plan to do reruns of Xiao Lu playthroughs for myself, my review should update my total time which I will then write when I do my intial review.
Love Is All Around Review (not including DLC) - 7/10 I played Love Is All Around for a little over 4 hours on Steam and reached a few endings. I played on a Windows 11 PC with specs above the recommended requirements. This is only the second East Asian FMV game I’ve played, so I’m still fairly new to the genre, but I’m starting to get a better feel for how these games work. Love Is All Around is a full-motion video life/dating sim where you play as Gu Yi, a man struggling financially and drifting between jobs, homes, and an uncertain future. As the story progresses, you interact with several female characters, and your choices determine which relationships and endings you unlock. What made me curious about this game was its reputation for helping popularize the modern romance FMV genre. Even though it has been a few years since release, after playing it, I can understand why it gained attention. Installation was smooth, and the game immediately launched in English for me, which was convenient. The interface is simple and easy to understand, including the scene selection, replay, forward, and back options. Performance was also great. I did not experience lag, even when jumping b…
This game was my first dating game experience, and a difficult, but fulfilling one at that. The women are great, but there a lot of lines from the protagonist that are fixed and quite honestly stupid. One of the 6 women isn't even an option cause you just leave her behind through the plot anyway. The affinity system is also pretty rough at times. There are some instances where you take a negative hit no matter what. You also need have a certain level of total affinity in each chapter to progress to the next. Chapter 3 gave me the most trouble. There are moments this game feels like a chore than a game where you get to freely choose. Chapter 3 is the only one REALLY like that though. The rest of the game is fine. I've gone through and gotten basically every possible ending, so I do like this game. Playing this game with a group of people and having a watch party is a lot of fun too.
