I have zero affinity to what Lumo is paying homage to but I still had a great time; Apparently, it's very British? It's very mysterious and it doesn't try to explain anything, and while I had a lot of trouble with the camera, it wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying it till the end. It can get pretty maddening at times though. It's just a cool puzzle platformer that doesn't overstay its welcome.4 found this helpful
A wonderfully crafted platformer that also serves as a love letter to much older games. It may be rather short, but if you're trying to get 100% completion, that would fill in more time for you as several of the achievements are extremely challenging. I do wish it had a more refined story though; it almost seemed like there was something there, but it just wasn't clear enough.4 found this helpful
This was playing alright until I hit the underwater sections. It seems like a total crap shoot trying to get your character to resurface. Poor controls.3 found this helpful
first 2/3rds of the game is baby easy and the last 1/3 is the only part I would call a game missable collectables are a thing too, a thing that I personally find unpleasant however it was nice to play a platformer with simple controls where I couldn't slide dash backflip airhop spindash double jump into outer space also I signed up for woah wonky depth perception issues, and I got that fell through the floor (out of bounds) the first 10 seconds of playing the game and almost refunded on the spot out of 10
good game but hard
It took me years to finally come around and beat this game, a fun but frustrating experience. For a game that relies a lot on precision platforming, the controls are pretty poor. Some of the puzzles can be bugged/glitched in ways they shouldn't. While the isometric angle is quite a cool and nice looking feature, it does tend to obscure your wizard dude behind obstacles and level geometry, making it hard to see where you are. Despite all the negatives however, I would still recommend giving it a go. It's fairly cheap, and has a nice dungeon crawler atmosphere, fun puzzles, TONS of hidden collectibles, etc.
