Lumo

I have zero affinity to what Lumo is paying homage to but I still had a great time; Apparently, it's very British? It's very mysterious and it doesn't try to explain anything, and while I had a lot of trouble with the camera, it wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying it till the end. It can get pretty maddening at times though. It's just a cool puzzle platformer that doesn't overstay its welcome.

This was playing alright until I hit the underwater sections. It seems like a total crap shoot trying to get your character to resurface. Poor controls.

A game for sickos. The adventure mode is hard enough, mostly just from poor design. How can anyone enjoy playing this with a timer and finite lives? I died so many times from not being able to know how my character was oriented in the room. I get that they’re doing a specific genre callback, 80s isometric puzzle adventure, but they designed this game with so many platforming elements in mind, and the isometric view makes a lot of rooms just awful to attempt. That one big problem made it harder for me to overlook other smaller problems. The numerous pointless hallways, the dead air, the uninteresting puzzles, the irritating baby noise that your character makes on every single death. I was frustrated more than I was having fun. My favorite parts were definitely the platforming challenges, but they are timed and one-try-only, so when time runs out you don’t get to play again and the door to the challenges locks behind you. I failed all of them and could probably have succeeded with a second try but NOPE! Can’t do that. There are clearly people out there who enjoy this game, but I am not one of them.

It's really good, the people who cries about the controls, you know there are settings right? fully playable nice with a controller. The distance might be a litte hard to asses sometimes but i would higly reccomend this game!

first 2/3rds of the game is baby easy and the last 1/3 is the only part I would call a game missable collectables are a thing too, a thing that I personally find unpleasant however it was nice to play a platformer with simple controls where I couldn't slide dash backflip airhop spindash double jump into outer space also I signed up for woah wonky depth perception issues, and I got that fell through the floor (out of bounds) the first 10 seconds of playing the game and almost refunded on the spot out of 10
