Well, with V2's recent release, I feel like I have to leave my review of Lynium. A lot of the earlier criticisms in negative reviews were certainly valid when they were posted, but with 2.0 and its subsequent patches, the game feels completely different. Don't get me wrong though, it still feels like how Lynium has always felt, a sort of cozy rhythm game that you can just sit down and have some fun with for a little bit before moving on about your day. It doesn't compel you to sit and go for hours upon end, it's simply there when you want to play it, and when you do, it welcomes you in for however long you like. No ads, no in-your-face purchases, just an honest, simple rhythm game. Although there has been a long gap between the previous update and 2.0, the developer is very much active once more, and I expect that there will be more updates to come with more QOL fixes, as the frequency of the recent patches has shown. All things considered, a very solid game, especially for a solo developer. Sure, there's many other well-established rhythm games that are quite similar to this, but there's a certain charm to this particular one that's hard to describe. I'm excited to see it back in …
