About LYSA HORA: The Haunted Hill

Story

You are a college student who has just moved to a big city in search of a new life. But instead of a fresh start, you begin to suffer from recurring nightmares. In your dreams, you see a mysterious hill. It’s calling you. Each night the visions grow more vivid: underground tunnels, abandoned structures, and a strange device that once kept something contained.Trying to understand what’s happening, you uncover classified documents hidden in the city archives. What you discover leaves you with only one choice — go to the hill yourself. The only way to end the nightmares is to reach their source. But not everything buried underground should be awakened.

Gameplay

A dark atmospheric horror experience inspired by real locations. Explore the remains of an old fortress, labyrinthine tunnels, a shadowed forest, and ancient shrines hidden beneath the hill.Investigate your surroundings, piece together fragments of a buried truth, solve environmental puzzles, and navigate dangerous terrain with light parkour elements as you descend deeper into the mystery.Every discovery brings you closer to the truth — and to an ancient horror that has slept beneath the hill for centuries.Your decisions will lead to one of three different endings.Created by a former Lead Level Designer of a major AAA Chernobyl-themed project, with a strong focus on immersion, tension, and environmental storytelling.

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's atmospheric exploration and effective jump scares, highlighting strong sound design, detailed world-building, and impressive execution for a debut title. However, some find the story and overall atmosphere underwhelming, with complaints about easy puzzles, unrewarding exploration despite good lore placement, and occasional visual issues like blur effects that can hinder immersion, particularly in VR. Despite mixed feelings on narrative impact, most recommend it as a solid value horror walking simulator that successfully delivers tension and keeps players engaged throu

Likeable game that is not the best but not the worst. It has good graphics and the story was interesting but the jumpscares are similar to what I call "unreal engine jumpscares" a bit but doesn't have the staticy effect from those slop games. While we are on that topic it does use that gasp sound effect too along with the similar UI but the dev changed it a bit. The one thing I didn't like was the multiple chase scenes where you have limited stamina and have to walk a bit for a so called "chase scene" to regain stamina lol it doesn't make much sense but whatever. Also plz add a return of the tall version of smeagol from lord of the rings from this game in your next one. I don't know why my guy was moaning either when smeagol got me that one time too Overall not bad but keep in mind this game is gonna be a walking sim along with a key finding / code finding too but wasn't bad for the price https://youtu.be/h6l_JYYv3sM

LYSA HORA: The Haunted Hill is a first-person psychological horror adventure developed and published by DENYS RUDYI GAMES. Drawing inspiration from Eastern European folklore, urban legends, and Cold War history, the game delivers an unsettling journey that blends supernatural myths with the remnants of secret scientific experiments. Rather than relying on relentless action or frequent jump scares, it focuses on suspense, exploration, and storytelling, inviting players to slowly uncover the truth behind a place consumed by mystery. The premise immediately establishes a sense of intrigue, presenting a horror experience that values atmosphere and narrative just as much as traditional scares. The story follows a college student who moves to the city in search of a better future, only to find themselves haunted by vivid nightmares centered on an isolated hill with a disturbing past. As the dreams become increasingly realistic, they reveal fragments of forgotten underground tunnels, abandoned facilities, and cryptic machinery that hint at dangerous experiments hidden beneath the landscape. Determined to understand these visions, the protagonist investigates historical records and classi…

Lysa Hora ended up being a pleasant surprise. I originally picked this one up as part of a game bundle, so I didn't really go into it with huge expectations. Usually, games like this can be pretty hit or miss. Thankfully, this one landed on the positive side. Lysa Hora is a shorter indie horror experience that doesn't try to reinvent the genre, but it does enough to keep things interesting from beginning to end. The graphics were better than I expected, creating a creepy atmosphere that fit the game well and helped keep me immersed. The gameplay is mostly that of a walking simulator, so if you're expecting constant action or elaborate puzzles, you may want to adjust your expectations. The beginning is a little slow, and it takes some time before things really get going. Once it does, though, the game throws in a handful of solid scares that help keep the experience entertaining. They're not nonstop, but there were definitely a few moments that caught me off guard. Overall, I came away enjoying Lysa Hora more than I expected to. It's a simple, short indie horror game that knows exactly what it is. It won't end up on my list of all-time favorites, but for the price—especially i…
