Generic and uninspired. Slow paced gameplay without much fun.
6 found this helpful
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…1 found this helpful
Game is nice but keeps crashing at level 16.
Works really well on the Steam Deck! Nice top down shooter that reminds me of some of the 90s greats 😁
Great game from a great development team. Nice graphics, two player option, good pick up and play game. Levels could be tighter, they feel a little thrown together and could do with a wider variety of music tracks. Overall a nice game and an easy recommend. 87% PS. Please release some more games for amiga 0s4.1
I got this game at a discount because I had a coupon for it. That being said, although this game is worth the $1.50 I spent for it, it is definitely not worth the original $5.00, let me explain why: M.A.C.E. is supposed to be a simple, quick, HD game based on classic Shoot-Em-Up gameplay, and it fits that resume pretty well. However, it doesn't have much to offer (maybe like 15 levels across 3 different "worlds") and it is also somewhat difficult--the game is zoomed in too far, everything happens pretty fast, and your ship's hitbox is pretty big. These 3 qualities can of course make a game like this rather difficult. Personally, after I get all 10 achievements (none of which seem like they'll be too difficult to get) I'm prolly never gonna touch this game again. That all being said, I'd give this game an overall 5/10.
