Ace of space is a game of the Shoot ’em up genre, the theme of the game is space flights, cleaning up sectors of the cosmos from hostile space inhabitants. The basic mechanics of the gameplay is to destroy the enemy, the game has three variable parameters: health, the amount of charge for the special ability of the ship and the number of bonus points given for the destruction of one combat unit of the enemy, for the automatic activation of amplifiers on the example of restoring health, energy shield and slowdown time, the level is given a certain number of explosive rockets, which are very helpful in places of large concentrations of the enemy. The game has four paths to planets that need to be cleaned, and for each of these tasks, we are assigned different spaceships. Giving this a pretty big meh. Cons: -Controls are kinda weird. You can only use the mouse to maneuver your ship and it stops if your mouse moves off the playfield. Ship feels kinda clunky and ended up frustrating me a lot. -Upgrades feel super restrictive. I can upgrade my fire speed but not my fire power. I can upgrade both the speed and power of my limited secondary however. There\s a 4th upgrade that's super expensive that I have no idea wtf it's for. "Spaceship Assemblage version?" What the hell does that mean? Apparently they meant it upgrades your ship's tier which also upgrades your main weapon. -The wording on stuff is awkward and the text font is hard to read. -I can't figure out how to change ships. Pros: -Enemies are unique and animated. You're either using super rare sprites or your own stuff. They look smooth and original so nice job. -Music was pretty neat, like a modern spin on something old. -I love not having to pick up money. -The random performance bonuses add a lot of variety to the game. -I'm assuming each ship has a unique special power. -Having checkpoints I can choose to teleport to, is super useful!1 found this helpful
