i've played will and robins routes so far and enjoyed both immensely! such a huge amount of care, detail and hard work- a lot more content than i expected from early access, a pleasant surprise of course! my only fear is i seem to be the only one eagerly awaiting geoffrey's route >.< i beg give me some crumbs oh generous dev

If you're into visual novels with lots of twists, turns, and lore, this is a fun one. I'd classify this as romantasy I think. The main character is Marion from Robin Hood, and while many of the other characters are from it as well and the story is Robin hood at its core it goes way deeper here. Lots of fantasy elements and lore and it just keeps going. I enjoyed the stories and writing, the artwork is stunning and the cutscenes are gorgeous! I love the music so much. You can even choose between a more chaste experience (or so I'm told, I actually haven't chosen that yet but will try it for the next character that comes out, I promise) and the "full Sherwood" which included explicitly detailed (but not visually graphic) intimacy scenes. It's super easy to just skip over those too if that's not your thing. I found the wording to be really kind of cringe sometimes and skipped some. Oh also before I move on, this game has a LOT of magic/fantasy elements and stuff and if you're not into that this might not be your game. It's not my typical genre but I found it pretty fun anyway! I've had my eye on this game for a while. When I first saw it I was put off by just one route (Robin) being available, but seeing John/Will's routes released I went ahead and got it. So far Will is my absolute favorite and Robin my least. I'm stupid excited for literally all the rest. Layton's being last to release makes sense but doesn't mean I won't pout about it. The main choices you're making in this game are the love interest and which of the two route themes you want to pursue. The other choices tend to be flavor or dead end choices. While I actually wasn't a fan of those initially, after completing more routes they started connecting some plot-dots for me and growing on me. From the context of more choices it can feel limiting, but having Marion as an actual character instead of a silent blank slate makes up for it to me. There's a lot more plot happening alongside the romance that I also really appreciate. And the romance routes themselves are heavier on the communication side of things which was a breath of fresh air compared to some others I've tried. I became aware of Made Marion sometime in early 2024, after Early Release had started, but only with Robin's route available. I kept checking back ever so often, dithering, on whether it would be worth getting it in early access, especially at this juncture, given that my preference is for the Nottingham routes (and I really want to play Geoffrey's, which will be the last one to be released; although really, really, I want to play Tuck's, which means waiting for the DLC [spoiler]and tbh, I'd quite like there to be a King Richard route, and maybe I'm interpreting too much into the Light and Shadow DLC title, where Layton is obviously Shadow and who would be more Light than the King, but I would absolutely adore it, if he also became a romanceable character somehow.[/spoiler] and thus probably 2029 or 2030?) The thing that stood out to me the strongest was the art. Very beautiful throughout, the character designs are all appealing as well. The story of this visual novel has an interesting concept, as well as the setting being a sort of alternate-universe version of historical Earth in which fairies are real and druidism is the primary religion of the Great Britain analogue (Avalon). Sadly there is still systemic misogyny in that land (less so other lands which are discussed but not shown), but it doesn't keep the main character Lady Marian down. Instead it drives her forward in spite of it. At the time of me writing this (May 2026) there are only three completed romance routes available, with more indicated to be on the way. I've tried each of these once. They seem decently written and paced. I personally enjoyed Will's route the most by far. Although when I briefly encountered Meissa in the route I was fully prepared to ditch Will and immediately propose marriage to them. Sadly I was not given the option to do so.
