Cool chill game about maids3 found this helpful
It's a really addictive game.
I haven't had this much fun in a while!
Pros:
+ art style and character design + REALLY fun gameplay. It doesn't get repetitive 'cause everything goes extremely fast. They also added TONS of mini-games, which keep you busy the whole shift. + main plot. You shouldn't take it seriously. It's a very light, highly anime-influenced story. + lots of collectibles + references to otaku and pop culture
Cons (not many):
- the MC is a perv. A typical otaku from ecchi anime who thinks a lot of big-chested girls will fight for him if he is "sweet" enough. He disgusts me. I wish you could play as a female character who just wants to help the maid cafe shine. Even though you shouldn't take the plot seriously, the MC's perverted thoughts always come up in dialogue, and it just makes me cringe. I highly recommend skipping the MC's lines and reading only the maids' lines. - more side quests. I only remember two side quests. I wish there were more. - the game needs some QoL updates. What I mean by this: 1. Teleporting from one place to another or some vehicle (let's say, a bicycle, just like in "Maid Cafe on Electric Street"). It beco…2 found this helpful
x-- 8/10 --x Really fun maid cafe management game. Wasn't fond of the guy character that you play. He's just a typical otaku idiot. Absolutely loved Ash, she was my favorite <32 found this helpful
The game is fun! I really recommend it, the story is lighthearted and wacky, and the gameplay is snappy and quite engaging. If you've played something like Touhou Mystia's Izakaya, Kitchen Sync: Aloha!, Dave the Diver, and any of the Papa's Pizzera titles, I'd say totally go buy this game :3 especially if you love the restaurant/cafe management part of it. This game definitely has it's own charm, and needs more love and support2 found this helpful
Short but fun. It's a linear story though. The management aspect is pretty causal. Really, REALLY needs a mini map to fast travel or get supplies from as that will tkae up a large portion of gameplay.2 found this helpful
A Fun Maid Management Experience!
Maids of Storm offers a lot more than I expected. You will manage the Argent maid café in much more depth than the demo, but it isn't overwhelming. There is a steady learning curve in which the game drips everything you'll need to know at the right pace, with a fun story on top (about 8-10hrs). I recommend you go in blind, for the story aspect, as I truly did not expect those twists and turns from a management-style game like this, but BurgerDuck Games delivered something quite fun! Overall, I'd highly recommend this game if you enjoyed the demo and want more like I did! PS: If you aren't using FreeSync/G-Sync, make sure to force enable VSYNC in your respective graphics card's control panel. There are no in-game VSYNC options, and the game tears like crazy without forcing the option on externally.1 found this helpful
