Nothing in the game was designed to be inconvenient to sell you a solution and all development is focused on delivering a fun small scale mmo experience to play with your friends. With 4 Elements, 4 Schools of Magick, Dozens of Specializations, hundreds of Spells, and thousands of pieces of loot, you can create a character that plays exactly how you want and that represents your own unique playstyle. The vast majority of content is scaled with creativity and experimentation in mind. You won't be punished with brutal difficulty here unless you look for it. FIrst off, the game is playable, with proper research you can find the instructions to get into the playable version if you check discord. Now my review: only about 5 hrs in at the time of this review but so far I am greatly enjoying it. Good interface, gameplay, very fluid for a 2d game, no tile based here, class system is great, expand and change your class any time, lot of fun systems and skills to level, fishing, cooking, mining, many more, lots of content here for a game still very early in development, and lots more to come for 20261 found this helpful

This game cannot be played as intended.[/quote] Pitched as a "small scale MMO", this 2D top down pixelcrap cratered hard on Steam for obvious reasons... serious PC gamers see pixelcrap and swipe left immediately. I think it's worth noting, and this should go without saying, but the free section of Steam is a cesspit of greed and toxic mobile app cash shop monetization cancer... so I was almost shocked to discover that this game has "loot box" type mechanics! However... they're not tied to RMT or MTX or anything. It's just part of the game you play. Wow. Of course genuine intentions alone aren't enough to make a great gaming experience. This is just a shallow (for an MMO) top down pixelcrap experience that never got completed. It never even got off the ground in terms of the player numbers any MMO needs, and now it's completely dead. So, "ManaSoul" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time!
