Feels like a freeware game that would have come on a 2003 PC gamer demo disc. Nostalgia, simplicity and deep RPG systems all come together to deliver something rarely seen in games released today. Next to zero handholding in ELITE mode, i can see myself getting hundreds if not thousands of hours into this one. if you can get past the basic visuals this is a true gem.3 found this helpful
Gets a thumbs-up from me, if only for not being yet another fantasy genre version like all the others. Gameplay wise, it's got a few display bugs, but the actual systems work. Plus it's one of those games where, sure, you can play a balanced, optimized team. But the real fun is creating gimmick teams. Full teams of heavy gunners, shotgunners, or flame troopers that don't actually move anywhere, but fill the screen with ordnance like it's a bullet hell are hilarious, or OP snipers who just delete mobs as soon as they spawn are just as fun to watch.1 found this helpful
