Maya: Cats of Istanbul

I wish I could leave a "neutral" review, because the concept is neat and the game could be fun. Unfortunately, the camera is at best "uncooperative", and feels willfully hostile after a few minutes of playing. The rotation centering is not intuitive. Panning may or might not be constrained; the middle click will sometimes reposition the camera. Combined with the fact that you can't remap to ZQSD for an azerty keyboard, positioning the camera where you want it is frustrating. If that got an overhaul, the game would be neat, however.

One of the more unique examples of the genre. The rotation of the 3D cities and the sounds made by the cats are very nice :) Since the camera system requires using WASD, it may not be easy for everyone to get used to it. The relaxing music and challenging, detailed levels are ideal for spending time. Also, knowing that the game’s earnings will help cats makes me happy.

A very pretentious hidden cats game in a 3d world that ends being very boring to explore because of a really bad movement/camera system that makes you want to use hints as much as possible Played 1 level out of 3 for now but really need a break before going on with this one Level 2 and 3 now done but camera movements made me sick No autosave during a level and even worse if you finish a level and you dont start the next level and leave the game then you have to replay it (took even too long to fix it c'mon!) Delusional experience for the genre for sure , artstyle is bland very amateurish and somehow immature so i'm not surprise if the people behind it leave clown badges on negative reviews Also a little overpriced for this blatant experience so yes hit the ignore button !!!

Today the dev added an autosave and that has turned this from a very frustrating game into one of the best around.! Not only do you have to find static kitties, but some of them stroll around and you can be chasing one then see a flicker out of the corner of your eye as another one strolls down the next alley. You need your wits about you, but its so satisfying when you catch the walking cats! There are several dioramas showing some of the famous sites of istanbul in diorama form, and while the graphics are not very sophisticated compared to a few others, the gameplay makes up for this. Its tough and thoroughly enjoyable! I originally negged this game because of the lack of save and wrote: There is no autosave to this game and so far the dev has ignored requests for one. Since finding the cats is tricky, it needs one as its quite likely players may have to shut down before finishing a level and having to start over again is not funny. Cannot recommend until this is fixed! The dev has made contact and is apparently working to correct this. I hope he does because with an autosave when you have to exit halfway through a level its going to be an excellent game. The cats walk around the…
