About Meat Fest

Meat Fest is a dynamic shooter with soulslike elements, arenas and corridors, secrets, traps and its own story. Built on the foundation of good old shooters, it raises the social problems of society.
To answer questions you will have to use a wide arsenal of weapons, an ax, and a suit to protect and dodge fatal blows and dangerous fauna. Collect the story piece by piece to get to the truth, which, as always, lurks somewhere nearby.

STORY

Humanity was forced to leave their home planet and settle on Radix, where leaders tell new generations that the Earth was destroyed as a result of natural disasters. Combat geneticist Marcus Berger, studying samples from the homeland of people, begins to realize how false such statements about the death of the world are. He becomes increasingly immersed in the search for truth and reaches out to black market dealers, consisting mainly of the opposition. His native corporation begins to see him as a dangerous unit and Marcus escapes from Radix, deciding to find answers on Earth. The player will have to face the current inhabitants of the cradle of humanity and find evidence of the theory of a man-made disaster, because of which the world has turned into hell.

Offf, i really didnt want to do this. This seems to be the passion project of some game dev and i respect that. But the game..... Well, i have to say that i really enjoy those type of games. Thats why i bought this. I thought i would be good. I wanted it to be good. But alas. First the movement. Its bad. There is no option for running and even that could be a thing but the walking speed should have been increased. The character feels slow. I dont know if the developers took games like DOOM for inspiration but if that is the case than they should have studied the movement better. I think this is the biggest sin of this game. Than there is the voice acting. It is... there. But maybe it shouldnt. I really respect the guy for trying but it was the most soulless voice i ever heard, it wouldve been better if the "talking" was via text. The concept of the game and the monsters look good (i never manage to get past the first room) and there was clearly effort put into it. I relly hope the creators improve upon it. But for now i sadly have to give this game a thumbs down.

Very cool game, I liked it very much! Another good example of pre-made assets that are cleverly used by a talented person to create their own sci-fi world with its own backstory. I particularly appreciated the evident care that has been put both in the assembly of a believable setting and in the game design in general. Each enemy has its own place inside the lore of the world, and also its own role in battle, so that you are implicitly encouraged to try all the weapons and all possible combat strategies. There is a good variety both in the layout of the levels and in the weapons, that are all satisfactory and rewarding in their own way. Except maybe the rocket launcher, that automatically becomes obsolete once you obtain the grenade launcher, that is way superior in every aspect. The moving speed of our character is low, but you can dodge several times in a row, much like in Doom Eternal. The fights are all very dynamic and adrenalinic, especially in later levels. There are maybe just a couple of things I didn't like: - the gap between easy and normal difficulties is too wide. The difficulty mainly affects the damage inflicted by enemies, which is way too low in easy and, conversel…
