Meow Familiar World

Capsule review: I spent more time fighting with the controls and collision geometry than enjoying being a cat. [h3]Control, or lack thereof[/h3] - Meow struggles with stairs, jumping onto boxes, falling off sloped roofs, and turning around. The turning around looks very beautiful, even while it feels incredibly clumbsy. - The input action design is chaotic both on keyboard and gamepad. - "Interact" doesn't continue dialogue, nor does left or right like the arrow might hint – it's actually left and right mouse buttons. "Interact" doesn't work to Eat when the prompt becomes visible either – the actual interaction range is shorter. "D-pad down" made the camera zoom instead of making Meow crouch. Letting go of the gamepad and reaching over to C on the keyboard worked. - Don't expect that you can gracefully leap onto a short wooden box, or catch an edge with your claws to clamber up. Smash that jump button to leap straight up into the air, and then notice you have no air control, and then try to back up (no wait, Meow, [i]back up[/i], don't slowly turn around), get bitten by a frog, try to take a slightly-walking-running jump, and then hope the frog doesn't block your jump and make yo…

Two missions in and I'm having soooo much fun exploring the open world! One, the underwater world is so beautiful! I was able to swim from one side of the island to another without getting caught by the giant alligators! talk about a jump scare lol The croc did get me eventually tho hahah, back to my list, two! the nature sounds and handpan are so relaxing! when I was collecting the magical shrooms I got up the roof of a hut and it started raining and then thundering, very cool moody moment. For anyone wanting to play the game, I highly recommend just taking in the ambiance of the game, I literally was using it as ASMR while getting food during my playtime. Excited to discover more sections of the game, and more powers /abilities to gain. 10/10

A fun indie game for those that love magic and cats! Chill vibes from a small game developer and a fun escape from those Triple-A games filling up your Steam library. P.S. - If you are a fan of the Warrior Cat book series this will allow you to scratch that itch as well. No pun intended, ;-)

this game is very laggy that would be fine but the controls were beyond horrible this is very unplayable expect to be caught up with the controls the whole game if you plan on playing this
