Pet them and you can hear them meow as they come to life in this 3D hidden cat game. These poor kitties have been turned into stone. Can you find them and help save them? Meowing Point by Developer yofrancisco, a solo developer with his first game A short Point and Click exploration game, with hints and references to the developer's hometown in Australia. It has some slight puzzling with extra hidden objects. The developer, yofrancisco states he is working on additional free areas, secrets, and more polishing. If you're stuck, a story & achievement guide made by the developer can be found in the community section. There are no hints but the cats are usually not too difficult to find. Pet these kitties and you will find they have names. Yes, they each have a name! There are also some random side quests too, so be sure to pick up any suspicious objects that might be used later. You can click on suspicious things like garbage cans and windows. Meowing Point is a cute 3D hidden cat game from solo developer Yofransico. It is the creator’s first project and was originally made for a friend. Players must find and rescue hundreds of hidden cats that have been turned to stone. It is an ambitious but enjoyable game, and very impressive as the developer’s first solo project. The hidden object aspect is well implemented and a lot of fun though more direction or hints would be a nice addition to the other activities rather than just have the player stumble across them. The aesthetic is unique and has a subtle retro feel to it and the visuals suit the style of the game well. The music is very nice, though some tracks fit better than others and there was some repetition. The clunkiness of the controls and navigation is probably the game’s weakest area and does put a bit of a dampener on an otherwise enjoyable experience. Currently, this game needs a bit more polish to justify its price tag. That being said, it is a cute, fun game with a decent amount of potential. On the game’s store page, the developer talks about working on additional areas, secrets, and polishing which is highly promising and certainly means that this is …3 found this helpful
Looks like no one has reviewed this game recently so here goes: For a first game by a solo dev, I say good job! It's a casual little point and click game where you find hidden cats that have turned to stone. They meow when you click them, and you can click them again to pet them (and it will tell you that cat's name which is cute). The cats can be tricky to find, which I appreciated as it didn't make it feel like I was wasting money by it being "easy". If you complete an area 100% it tells you in the upper left hand corner that you found all the cats, the most cats I've ever found was 634. And that was with me basically finding all cats in all areas except by the lighthouse! There are some neat references to actual places in Australia, which I enjoyed. You're able to change the window size, make it full screen, and adjust audio which I appreciate. There are achievements, which is pretty dope. Oh, and the dev published a guide themselves, can't say I've seen that before! It's not super thorough, but it helps if you get a bit stuck. Yes, there are some things that are a little finicky. I still say it's worth the money. Examples of fiddly bits: when you are about to glide your mous…1 found this helpful
Very cute, I liked it. A real shame this never seemed to get attention in the find-hidden-cats-genre, it was a nice change of pace with the 3d and some pretty tough hiding spots! Really enjoyed that they all had names and the little side quests were cute. Creator has some pretty sick concept art on their web page! :)
I really enjoyed this game. Its super cute (the cats meow like omg), makes references to Australia and all of the cats are named and some have snazzy outfits! It has its own music which is super lovely and the hiding spots are super hard for quite a few of the cats which is great. I've played through this game twice, first time was me just trying to progress through to the end while getting all the cats, second time was just now getting all the achievements. It's a good relaxing game to pass time for a few hours and i'd really recommend it if you love point & click games and searching games. Good job on your first game Francisco! Hope to see more games from you soon! <3
