✦ AI summary

Miniature offers an interesting concept where players arrange diorama scenes in the correct order to tell a story, with charming claymation-style graphics that appeal visually. However, the core gameplay is extremely thin and repetitive, with only 12 scenes that can be completed in under an hour with minimal challenge, leaving little reason to replay or engage with the game beyond its initial completion.
Miniature Review
It is basically some sort of 3D Scene that you put together in the right order of action
Gameplay
3 out of 10 You get one 3D model of a scene like a sort of diorama and you put together what happened in that picture in the right order. Like a scene of a family enjoying a day out. You put together that they first arrived with the car and end with the family sitting at night at a campfire and you do this by switching through various things the family did that day. Sounds interesting? Not at all. You just click through those scenes for 10 minutes at most and solve the scene. And that is it. Scene completed and then it’s the next scene. I really tried to get into it, even after I did not feel like playing any further after the first scene, I pushed myself to play until scene four. But after that, no just no. I felt soo tired, it’s just a waste of time.
Music
6 out of 10 The music was honestly the best about the game. Serene, quiet and matching the tone of the game.
Graphics
5 out of 10 The 3D model was done with the Unreal engine and it shows, it looks good…sometimes. But as you have the ability to zoom in and…

Miniature - The Story Puzzle is an 8 year old handheld (Nintendo Switch) game that's inexplicably been put on Steam, although really this looks more like a mobile app than anything else. The idea is that you are given a series of scenes that you arrange in the correct order to create a short vignette story. Like if you went to a museum and saw a series of dioramas representing an event, but they were out of order so you need to set the order right. That's seriously all there is to this... it barely qualifies as a game. The game is very very short and can be finished in half an hour. Developers have at least some responsibility to provide enough content to make a game last more than 2 hours if they're serious about providing something of value to gamers. There's less content here than some free game demos. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers…

Lovely claymation-looking graphics and kind of unique concept but I would prefer it with everything focused without the annoying blur on things without the mouse pointer over them

It's worth about 25 cents.

I would love to recommend it, since it follows an unique idea, but unfortunately the gameplay value of miniature is so little that I have a hard time to truly recommend it to any fellow player. The 12 scenes are nice to look at, but figuring out the right order of the events is trivial, so you click through them in less than an hour. The game throws you back into the main menu then and there is 0 reason to go back and visit the same scenes again. Maybe worth picking up in a sale if the scenes in the screenshot appeal to you and you would like to look at those by yourself. Could be interesting for young children since it is a bit like an interactive storybook, but there are 1-3 scenes that could be too creepy for youngsters, so maybe play through the game yourself first.

Interesting idea, short 40 minute-ish puzzler. Basically you order given scenes into the correct sequence. Clunky controls.
