Misc. A Tiny Tale is a charming and adorable game about 2 little robots taking off on an adventure after a nearby explosion shook their tiny village. Trash and golden cogs splattered everywhere, so Buddy and his friend Bagboy set off to find out what happened. Buddy is the best friend we all want to have: encouraging, accepting and supportive all the time. No judgement from him! Bagboy is less confident and is filled with doubt, but curiousity motivated him to leave the village, but he is glad of Buddy's company and capability. Flick is Bagboy's complaining cat. Their journey takes them through several villages and the inhabitants set quests for Buddy to fulfill. He cleans and mops up all the trash and finds the missing golden cogs which opens the broken gates of all the villages. Some cogs are received from his quests. Each village has a robot who recycles his trash and he is able to buy things from the local shop. Buddy enjoys making a difference, but the greatest change was in the robots hearts. In Misc A Tiny Tale, you play as Buddy, a little robot that goes on an adventure with his friend Bag Boy to uncover the mystery behind a big explosion that shook the whole land. The game is a 3D platformer, and each level is a big map you can freely explore, in a similar vein to the likes of Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, but with a level-select screen rather than an overworld. You have 10 main collectibles to find per level. You don't have to get everything to advance, but if you're a completionist, you'll have a great time exploring each nook and cranny looking to get everything. The game even has an optional feature that helps you find a certain type of side collectible, which is great when you just need a few more to get 100% but are having a hard time finding the last ones. Each world has its own unique theme, and no level ever feels derivative. The game keeps you guessing what you'll find next as you advance in the story, and it never gets old. The level designs are great, and each world is a blast to explore. Misc is a very cozy game, and this is reflected in every aspect. A bit of pikmin, a bit of chibi robo and a lot of love. This game is precious in a way i cant describe without saying how clear it is that a lot of love and creativity went into it.

Beautiful, soulful game. I'm grateful I went into this game almost fully blind. It really felt like I was playing a good old GameCube game. Brought me back to the Simpler Times™. I love this game. The story is wholesome and touching, even if a few moments may come off as "preachy" or cheesy to some. There's a few sequences that get quite emotional and had me crying (whether of sadness or warm joy). 🎨Its characters are charming, unique, all very well-designed. Same goes for the environments. 100%-ing a Chapter, which isn't particularly hard to do, unlocks its Gallery section, which lets you have a peak at the creative/artistic development of the game and the chapter (concept arts and notes amongst other things). I personally thought this was super interesting and inspiring. 🔉🎵The sound-design and music are wonderful, adding a lot to the game's experience and emotions. ⭐There's a few twists and elements I can't discuss due to spoilers that make this game even more special and unique than what you're probably expecting (assuming you are mostly blind too). 🎮The platforming felt great and satisfying.
