Mixx Island: Remix

I'm going to start off saying that, for the current price, I recommend getting this game. It's not much, but I actually really enjoyed the experience of it. Having to go through every boss all over again every time I died made the fact that the attacks were mechanically very similar stand out, but the music was good and the art was amazing. The big bosses looked great, though I couldn't really see the mini-bosses because they were constantly shrouded by my attack animations. To the dev: If you ever make a more mechanically intricate game, I will be one of THE first people on board. I think you could really benefit from breaking free of the current game type you're doing and exploring what's possible. You have A-Tier, if not S-Tier art, and I really want to see what you can come up with! ^.^

The background parallax scrolling makes my eyes sore. The color palette is also problematic, plus the effects come and go in such a fast fashion, that I can't really see what's going on around. I just keep pressing the attack button, the grenade button and the special button, and see that the enemy loses health rapidly, and finally die. I collect the stuff, continue on and do the same all again. Well, didn't quite live up to my expectations. Looks nice, but hollow.
