Monster Garden is a Short but easily replayable RPG-walking puzzle game, where much of the gameplay is finding new characters and endings and well, dialogue ofc for different characters. The art and music is very charming and the writing compliments it perfectly. The only issue about all this is that it seems like for a long time that the achievements are broken, which might honestly be a deal breaker to some who wanna experience every part of the game and check it off.1 found this helpful

a very cool experimental game. i booted up the game expecting to invest a lot of time in battle with leveling, but i was pleasantly surprised. its more of a relaxing and heart-felt experience. the main story is short but has many different routes/dialogue options you can explore. super fun and colorful set of characters with silly voices, and a fresh & interesting approach to indie rpgs that i really enjoyed.1 found this helpful
[h2]Broken achievements make this game not worth it for me[/h2] I played this for a while, but the achievements don't work, and I'm not sure they ever will, this is usually excusable, but there's 1 key reason it's not for me here. This is clearly a multiple playthroughs game, you go get different routes, meet different characters, get slightly different endings, and I did like what I played of it, I think it's pretty charming albeit repetitive. But the achievements is a dealbreaker for me specifically because I like to 100% games, not just for that sense of achievement, adding to that number of perfect games, but also because I like to know that I've seen all a game has to offer, and until the achievements are fixed (if they ever are), I won't be able to do that and be sure I've seen all it has to offer. I am praying for the achievements to be fixed, or for there to be some external fix even if it's not ideal, but I just don't think it's gonna happen, but if/when it does, I look forward to playing this game again and 100%ing it, and hopefully changing this review. if you don't care about achievements, maybe you'll like this, maybe you won't, it's charming, but it's also very…
Not totally my thing, but in the end, I can see why some people love it. Monster Garden is a short, quick play that is equal parts surreal and charming.
Weird and wonderful. Requires replays, but they're short.
