Mozart Requiem is an ancient game from 2008. It's a whopping 16 years old at the time of this review. It was exhumed by the "developers" here, and relaunched on Steam and on Nintendo Switch and consoles... and if it'll run on the Switch, that tells you a lot about what you need to know about the game. Might as well be a mobile app. The game looks and feels dated. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an old game. This seems to have be lingering on Steam with an inflated price to try profit from abandonware. Did you know that Amadeus Mozart was a crime fighter? You're right, he wasn't. But the French developers behind this think he was, and they're wrong. So yeah, it's the 18th century and you solve crimes a Mozart. If you listen carefully, he's spinning in his grave, and it sounds like a concert. This is obviously garbage, it was when it was first made and it definitely is now... but the "developers" want THIRTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS for this 16 year old trash. Seriously. That pretty much puts this out of "oh, it just sucks" and well into "this is some kind of scam" territory. Buyer beware, as always. From a technical persp…

This game is made with love for Mozart. I'm a huge Mozart fan so buying this game was a logical move, but the gameplay is whack af. The puzzles are very nice and not boring. My favorite one is correcting the scores. After playing for three hours I was stuck on the unanimated beetle puzzle. After a Google search you have to put the 'Clockmaker's Keys' on the 'Unanimated Beetle' which I did, but it doesn't seem to activate the beetle puzzle. I restarted the game and nothing works. I'm glad I bought this with discount, otherwise It's definetly not worth it. I would love to complete it, so it would be nice if this would be fixed. For now it's unplayable. Also, I must say the characters look incredibly unfinished. The carriage driver looks the most out of place. Just look at the man (creature). I mean it's the 18th century the outfits should be elaborate. Mozart walks as if he goes to the gym. My personal ick is that he wears blue while his signature colour is red. The black guy/policemen from the freemasonry looks like Voldemort from Harry Potter. The background drawings are nice and so it goes for the storyline. It's not often where I find myself invested in a storyli…

Truly an experience of time. For $2, I was able to enter inside Mozart and listen to him produce many blissful melodies for hours. Controlling his body and making him follow my direction was a satisfying experience that is incomparable to any past musicians I've experienced. Mozart will always be in my heart and will never forget the way his delicate fingers stroke the long naturals and accidentals, carefully making sure every climax was hit with each time he was instructed to produce a masterpiece for the public, as well as the wonderful textures he introduced without failing to please me, Mozart Requiem definitely a game that was made.
